Dominic Greene? Bond was indeed VERY bad for his business, we had the gorgeous and talented Ms. Eva Green in CR (similar spelling to Greene, same pronunciation), and Greene was killed by his own organization, Quantum. Probably not, but just me trying out the clues in different places.

Very good guess, yet again Brady.
    But again, incorrect. Keep trying!

Duh, I forgot you added "I didn't die" at the end of clue 3. My apologies. And try, try, try again I will. ;)

I get so nervous anytime I see someone post here, because I don't want to give it up yet!

    I'm confident I've got a goodun' though.
  • I'm going for an obscure guess.

The henchman controlling the cable car in Moonraker. Mostly because he reminded me of Sandor from TSWLM.

Not the henchman controlling the cable car in Moonraker, keep trying!
  • Just before I fall asleep, can someone elaborate on what the second clue actually means with the latest round ?

"I may have reminded you of the previous film"

Sounds a bit ambiguous. Does it refer to the last answer, in that the movie was QOS with the (slate) character, therefore the clue this time is relevant to Casino Royale, or that the clue is to do with any other Bond movie where the actual character reminded you of the release before that.

For example, say it was Goldfinger, then we was reminded of something that happened in From Russia With Love you understand

Any help would be appreciated, as the other clues are of course, straight forward enough

The only clues I will give will be in bold and one of the major riddles, so no little hints.

But the second clue simply means one of the scenes the character is in is very similar to a scene in the previous film.
  • That's all I needed to know @westbrook, I was a bit fuzzy on that one

So, let me say - could it be Kara Milovy (The Living Daylights)

    here's why -

Bond was bad for business - he managed to get a bullet hole in her favorite cello, and of course damaged her arm when he shot the rifle out of her hands

Previous film - A View to a Kill - Bond (Dalton) - has a view to a kill - when he lines up Milovy with the sniper rifle in Bratislava

And I can't remember the last damn clue, said I was tired...

Yes, I was a victim of friendly fire -

And - Of course Dalton was sent to kill her, but he intentionally missed, and therefore it was 'friendly fire', and of course, she was not killed

It would be something if that really was it, but all the clues did add up, but really not hoping much on this

    It is not Milovy, friend.

    Recap:

    Bond was bad for business.

I may have reminded you of the previous film.

I was a victim of friendly fire, but I didn't die.

    It is not:
    -Flower store owner, FYEO
-Zorin's henchmen/man in the mine, AVTAK
    -Mr. White, CR / QoS
    -Gondola man, MR
    -General Gogol from, OP
    -#11, Thunderball
    -Carver, TND
    -Mathis, CR / QoS
    -Morzeny, FRWL
    -Drax, MR
    -Greene, QoS
    -Cable car henchmen, MR
    -Milovy, TLD

    New hint tomorrow.
  • Well it was worth a try

All I can concentrate on is someone getting shot at by a friendly side and live to tell, and coming up with names that don't fit in with at least one of the other clues

I'll say General Pushkin as last guess this night, even though clue #1 doesn't quite fit in. It's all I can come up with right now

    Not Trevelyan.
  • All we can do now is wait for subsequent new clues on this, but you've done well with this thus far Mr Westbrook. Just can't find the character that fits all the clues, but of course will get back to this at a later time if it hasn't gone by then. I'll give it some thought tonight in bed, as my wife has a 'headache' so there really isn't much else to do this night.. >:P

No, don't think Alec Trevelyan quite adds up Mr Murdock, but new clues will arrive tomorrow so we're told - and lo and behold - It wasn't (Trevelyan)

    :D
  • We'll make up for it before the week is out you can be sure, but these things will occur, usually at the most frustrating times

In any event, I'll have one last try and then off to bed we go - to think of more characters..

Could it be the girl in Moonraker who gives a tour of the Venice glass factory - before Bond wrecks the place

and later on, she is on one of the Moonraker shuttles at the spacestation before Scott and his men appear and there is a gun battle (lasers then) Don't think she was killed

Too late to think anymore, so it's a Goodnight , but not in the literal sense :-<

It's not Moonraker lady #17 :P and not the literal or character Goodnight ;)

Shot in the dark, but, Gareth Mallory?
Bond was part of the reason the drive was lost (to him, that is), M had a similar scene in QoS where she was being talked down to and criticized, and Mallory gets shot (by Silva, who used to be like him in a way), but didn't die.
    Can't be.

This is what I was going to guess. It seems to fit, but Zukovsky does end up dying.

Maybe we are focusing too much on gunfire. Maybe the "friendly fire" actually is a flame or someone being set on fire.

    Not Mallory or Zukovsky.

    An update:

    Bond was bad for business.

I may have reminded you of the previous film.

I was a victim of friendly fire, it wasn't a gun, and I didn't die.

Men of espionage are definitely my type.
