1. This character doesn't want Bond to slip up.
2. This character has a similarity to a very large mammal.
3. This character's heritage may be of a maritime background.
I see where your coming from, but it's still not M. :)
Sharkey? ;-)
Similarity to a mammal i.e shark (only after realising that whales and not sharks are mammals) D'oh.
Maritime heritage - he is a fisherman
Clearly I'm way off the mark so I'll let some others have a guess

4. It's not unknown for this character to be found in some girls bed.
But then the mammal thing makes zero sense.
#1 not sure about that one
#2 one of the piz gloria girls remarked she had ears like an elephant
#3 The name Bunt refers to the parts of a sail or a nautical term, Lazenby said
#4 She was in place of one of the piz gloria girls at the institute and surprised Lazenby
I don't understand clue #1 but quietly confident - may be to do with the Ice ?
Ah ha yes I think you could be right. It's a better guess than mine
I think clue 1. could refer to when Bond is playing Curling
Well done @Baltimore_007 it was indeed Irma Bunt for the very reasons you state, and the first clue which refers to her warning to Bond (disguised as Sir Hilary Bray) when arriving at Piz Gloria that they would be stepping on " Not ground, ice!", so your reasoning of ice being part of the answer was entirely correct.
Over to you.
Thanks @Saunders and just allow me sufficient time to get put something together. Should be a good round coming up. Watch this space
Let's begin
#1 Patience is not one of my best virtues
#2 I could be a leading contender for the World hide and seek champion
#3 I could be associated with a Sandra Bullock movie
#4 I could of been a decent soccer player
#5 One of my favorite musical groups could be Erasure
more clues, as and when necessary
Blofeld?
My first guess for this round is going to be Francisco the Fearless aka The human cannonball from Octopussy
Unbelievably that is the right answer
#1 Francisco got irritated at having to wait - "Now ?!"
#2 you won't find many people looking inside a cannon in a big top
#3 Bullock was in 'The Net'
#4 Francisco ended up in the net, good soccer skills there
#5 Erasure released a 1987 song called 'The Circus'
well done @Rogertheclown but got to admit, got a bit sloppy with that one, should of gone with a more obscure character, but that will have to wait until next time. The stage is yours..
1/ Professionalism is the name of my game
2/ I have a bit of a hearing problem
3/ You won't find me collecting stamps, birdwatching or doing crochet
Over to you guys. I'll check back when I can and see how we're going. This shouldn't last long :)
Miss Taro?
I'll go with Ms Soto and hope for the best
I think you're right!
