Logic behind the clues:
1. I try—but fail—to lead the East.
(Upon entering the Banco de Isthmus, Truman-Lodge tries to lead Sanchez’s “Oriental” guests over to the ground floor operation, but they follow Sanchez up the stairs instead.)
2. I was involved in an assassination attempt.
(Truman-Lodge is discussing something with Sanchez when Bond tries to assassinate the man and gets knocked down by the blast that takes out the armored window.)
3. I should warn you, guns make me very nervous.
(He jumps in his seat and pulls an annoyed face when Sanchez starts shooting from the car.)
4. Should we switch seats?
(Sanchez climbs over Truman-Lodge’s lap twice—first to shoot at Bond, second to yell instructions to the semi driver.)
5. I hold the globe in my hand.
(He squeezes a yellow ball while giving instructions to Professor Joe’s crew.)
6. I'm a step ahead of someone who shares a name with a color.
(I got sneaky with this one: “I believe you’ll find that works out to 20 million per metric ton, Mr. Tan.”)
7. Bond and I both win big, but at different games.
(While Bond is downstairs cleaning up in the casino, Truman-Lodge succeeds in raising the donation asking price for Professor Joe’s meditation chapters.)
8. I'm armed with something mightier than a sword.
(Truman-Lodge is frequently seen writing with a pen.)
9. None for me, thank you. I never drink and calculate.
(In the drug lab, Sanchez celebrates with Bond and the “Orientals” by drinking champagne, but Truman-Lodge is busy tallying up their negotiable bearer bonds.)
10. I should have kept my big mouth shut.
(Surprisingly, Truman-Lodge questions and/or mouths off to Sanchez several times before Sanchez finally snaps and guns him down.)
11. At least I died rich.
(He’s holding on to Sanchez’s 500 million when he goes down.)
12. Really, have you no respect for the dead?
(Sanchez callously steps on Truman-Lodge’s wrist to claim his briefcase.)
13. I run, shoot and jump.
(A play on Eric Serra’s GoldenEye cue of the same name: Truman-Lodge runs from the exploding complex at the end and leaps over the stone road barrier, but is never seen shooting a gun.)
14. I look out for the safety of Bond and others.
(Truman-Lodge hands out disposable face masks before entering the lab to prevent anyone from "developing a drug habit.”)
Great guesses everyone!
Now over to you, Birdleson!
I'll take a wild first guess (it is not too obvious for me, obviously, but that is not saying much!) ;)
Goodnight?
You had excellent clues, by the way. I just did not remember that character well at all. (I very rarely watch LTK)
My guess is Rosie Carver?
Bibi Dahl?
He spots Mollaka's scars, touches his ear and gets told off, then falls into the animal pit with unknown fate.
Thanks matey. I'm afraid I hold the ignominy of the 'brevity' award with my last offering being solved in approximately one minute.
I'll have a think for a while and hopefully come up with something better shortly.
1. This job of mine is murder on relationships.
2. I should have taken his advice and gone home.
