    He never speaks, doesn't fall in the water, Bond has to extract the bullet shell from his shoulder later and he's wearing the laptop hard drive.

    I was thinking of the floating jellyfish scene for "Why do I feel like a fish out of water?" but your interpretation works too. And I was hoping the "mum" in "Mum's the word" would also help folks think of Patrice's employer.

    Great clues, great character! For some reason I love Patrice; just think he's really badass, and I like the moment he and Bond have when Patrice is reloading on the train and Bond is getting into the digger, and they just look at eachother, like, "5 second break; what's your next move?"

    EDIT: I also love the fight in Shanghai where they're both shadows and it's hard to identify who's who, as if the film is saying "One of these guys is an assassin working for a shadowy organization, and the other just shot an art connoisseur in an adjacent skyscraper!"
