    I know the answer !!

It's an EON character with dialogue from a Bond film circa 1962-2015 ?

    You've got it!

As for the others, they're all incorrect. I'll try to get another clue, maybe two, up this weekend.

    He he I couldn't resist ;)

Plot twist: it's a character from B25, and I got to see the script way ahead of any of you, so we won't have a winner until 2019.

The way this game is going you might be right !
But I like long games like this, you end up slapheading yourself when you finally see who it is and realise how all the clues come together.
    A great round Creasy !!

Many thanks, friend! I'm hoping one of us can come close to topping @Baltimore_007's round that lasted about four months. I want to say @pachazo came pretty damn close with that round where he played the gas station attendant "Charlie" in DAF.

This one is only lengthy because I didn't lay out enough clues beforehand, so I'm struggling to come up with some now. I think the best round I'll ever have is that one when I played Chris from the YOLT PTS.

@Creasy47, don't sell yourself short. It's not your fault that we're too stupid to figure it out!

    It's not him.

    Clues:

    1. I'm an EON character with a name and dialogue.
    2. I'm one tiny piece of a much bigger puzzle.
    3. My assistance only goes so far.
    4. And to think I used to work alongside you.
    5. Time to break up this charade.
    6. Who doesn't enjoy a little history?
    7. I did my job, but perhaps I should've seen it through to the end.
    8. I'm involved in a rare moment for the series.
    9. All that effort, and it didn't even matter.
    10. You're certainly making my job easier.
    11. All work and no play. A shame we can't enjoy our beautiful surroundings.
    12. Running into you made for an awkward moment.
    13. It's good this is where I leave you, because it may not have fared well for me.
    14. It's not often we get lucky so soon.
    15. The best of times, the worst of times, and all so quickly.
    16. In regards to Clue 3, I'm a by-the-book professional.
    17. Let's share a word in private with everyone else.
    18. We'll catch up later - I'd rather be safe than sorry.
    19. Let's cut the small talk and get this done while we know we have the time.
    20. Keep your eyes peeled, we might be able to dabble in the black market.
    21. Time to tell Bond something he surely figured out already.
    22. What I assumed would be a friendly chat unveiled so much more.
    23. I go from leading to monitoring fairly quickly.
    24. Doesn't get much more uncool than interrupting you like this.
