Yes indeed, it is Colthorpe! Over to you Max! the explanations I'll add above.
I’m not going to be around tomorrow so I’ll have to sort something out for the weekend. I’m guessing things go a little quiet over the Xmas period and I might not be able to post every day but I’ll do my best to keep things moving.
1. A fitting choice for several reasons
2. I’m doing considerably better than Bond at the one thing Bond is trying to do considerably well
3. Things should be hotting up
4. Looks like I’m in the wrong place
5. Q may have studied my methods for one his inventions
6. Regarding Bond, I actually manage to achieve what most villains fail to
7. Bond tried to do this in another film - he did it out of necessity, I do it by choice
Guesses
Che Che
Christmas Jones
Count Lippe
Nancy
Red Grant
Wai Lin
*Any NTTD character*
I'd prefer that indeed. It's already difficult enough with the films we do have, let alone characters you haven't had the chance to see yet.
My guess:
Count Lippe?
It’s not Nomi, but it’s good that you’ve brought up the issue. I’m the sort of person who’s terrible at names and faces, so even if I saw it at the cinema a couple of times I’d be little use at either setting or guessing characters from NTTD - I’d have to wait until it’s out on home release and I get the chance to watch it several more times.
However I appreciate others would probably be keen to use them sooner so I’m happy to go with whatever you decide is appropriate - although if someone wants to drop little hints in the first few months that it sounds like a NTTD character that would free up my time considerably! 😂
The upside to all this is that for the next 12 months if it’s me setting a character you can be confident it’s not NTTD! 👍

8. I seem to be a chronological conundrum - it could be movie magic, or simple maths
9. If Bond had what I’ve got, his immediate problem would be solved

Smart, very smart. I mentioned the Bear costume on the odd one out thread, recently, but it never came to my mind for this round.
1. A fitting choice for several reasons
OHMSS for Guess the Character over Xmas, a polar bear for a Xmas tourist attraction and fitting also refers to the costume
2. I’m doing considerably better than Bond at the one thing Bond is trying to do considerably well
Bond tries to hide from Irma and crew at the skating rink - they don’t think to check who’s inside the costume
3. Things should be hotting up ... Inside the costume
4. Looks like I’m in the wrong place ... Polar bear in Switzerland
5. Q may have studied my methods for one his inventions
Aston Martin Vanish - the polar bear is well camouflaged - his costume is very hard to spot in some scenes
6. Regarding Bond, I actually manage to achieve what most villains fail to ...scare Bond
7. Bond tried to do this in another film - he did it out of necessity, I do it by choice
Dressing up in an animal costume - the gorilla from OP
8. I seem to be a chronological conundrum - it could be movie magic, or simple maths
the bearappears in different parts of the ice rink in close succession. It could be the result of editing, or more likely there could be several bears working at once - although I’ve yet to spot more than one in the same shot!
9. If Bond had what I’ve got, his immediate problem would be solved ... a costume to hide his identity
I don't think that this is a favourite character but the first two clues would be fitting.
