The head of the Banco de Isthmus? He has a name but I can't remember it.

That was quick. Well done @Birdleson.

It is indeed Mufti, the leader ot the three thugs (including the guy with the yo-yo saw), which are hired by Kamal Khan. I guess clue 6 was a big help. I didn't even have time to come up with a clue about his special kind of laughter.

    1. K, J, Bond
We see on the table from left to right: King, Jack (poker cards) and a photograph of Bond.
    2. I'm obviously not talking about Scaramanga's place.
    "The island is heavily guarded".
    3. They are able to convince me.
Mufti doesn't want to "make enemies with that woman". But a second bag with money helps changing his mind.
    4. I show some respect for one person we are discussing.
    Octopussy. See #3.
    5. Bond is wearing a bow tie.
    On the photograph.
    6. The money is on the table.
Kamal throws two pouches with money on the table.
    7. I defintely look less perfectly maintained than my visitors.
The clothes, the beard...compared to Gobinda and Kamal Khan.

Good going Birdleson! Clue #2 especially made me think it might've been Vijay but glad you discerned who the character really was. I thought K, J, Bond referred to Bond, Kamal and Jim Fanning's connection to the Faberge egg, but of course the clue was much simpler and more direct than that. Great clues goldenswissroyale.

Splendid. I'm currently working through the films with my 11yr old son (who hasn't seen most of them), we just reached TMWTGG and I pointed out the musical cue you refer to.

Wow, that was fast! Good game, both of you. I didn't remember him from Superman II.
Been a while since I've seen that.

I had no idea about his Superman II appearance either! But here it is...

Now I remember...thanks for posting. I should rent that again sometime. Terence Stamp...I think I thought at some point he'd make a good Bond villain, but too old now I suppose. I especially liked his role in Wall Street and also saw The Limey years ago.

That's certainly high praise from our resident genius @Tokoloshe2.

Alright, let's guess who this Named, Eon Character is!

    1) The organization that employs me has a long and detailed history with Bond.
    2) By chance and happenstance.
    3) James, don't leave me!
    4) Am I sleeping with the fishes?
    5) Look up at the stars for the answer to the previous clue.
    6) I certainly know how to create a distraction.
    7) It's what's on the inside that counts.
    8) If you can't trust a Swiss banker...
    9) ...try, try another profession Mr. Wint!
    10) Bond nearly blew the mission thanks to me.

Come to think of it I can think of at least one other character, though clue #2 might be iffy for that character.

    None of them.

I wanted to provide some clarity to clue #4 so I added some additional info with the next clue.

I believe it could be Quist, from TB.

    Edmund Slate from QOS?

    1) The organization that employs me has a long and detailed history with Bond. (SPECTRE)
    2) By chance and happenstance. (Bond encounters Slate, presumably just as he was about to leave with the case)
    3) James, don't leave me! (Bond leaves him to bleed out on the balcony)
    4) Am I sleeping with the fishes? (No, the real geologist is seen dead in the water)
    5) Look up at the stars for the answer to the previous clue. (Slate's passport says he was born on March 5th, so that makes him a Pisces)
    6) I certainly know how to create a distraction. (Slate busts through the door towards Bond, and also had fake documents in his case to distract Camille while he shoots her)
    7) It's what's on the inside that counts. (the fake geology report was blank inside - Camille: "What the hell is this?")
