Anyway, I couldn't fool @Birdleson, who thought already about a male character early. No surprise that he solved it again. Congratulations
Colonel Akakievich (TWINE)
1. I like Bond's stature.
He greets Bond (under the guise of Dr. Arkov) and tells him: “I’m a great admirer of your research. It’s not often we see someone of your stature.”
2. I speak more than one language.
English and russian. “Niet” and something translated as “Come on”.
3. In the end, there is no satisfaction for me.
He tells Renard: “The bomb doesn’t move until I’m satisfied”. But the bomd will be removed anyway and he has to die.
4. I'm holding him close to my chest, the man I admire.
See clue 1. Dr. Jones has a picture of Arkov which shows that Bond is an “imposter”. Renard presses the photograph on the Colonel’s chest before the Colonel grabs it from there.
5. I go down but don't go up anymore.
Akakievich is seen outside and goes down in the bunker later where he is killed.
6. I'm not very intelligent, it seems.
He has the command, admires the Dr.’s work but doesn’t know his age (63) or how he looks like. Odd…He isn’t convincing in his job and he is also described in the Bond Encyclopedia as being “moderately intelligent”
7. My death is the beginning of an action scene.
He is shot by Renard and the bunker action begins.
8. My hand signals tell them to slow down.
He signals that the car with Bond and three bald thugs slows down/stops in front of him.
9. My flirt attempts were not successful.
“Look, our IDA physicist. Don’t bother. Not interested in men. Take my word for it.”
10. A picture is all we get (and need!)
The picture of the real Dr. Arkov is all he sees of the man he thought he would meet. And the picture is all he needs to realize that Bond is the wrong guy.
11. I'm a man.
Indeed.
12. There are explosions a few seconds before you see me for the first time.
Bond is driving with the bald thugs in the open car while explosions happen behind them.
13. A main Bondgirl makes me realize my mistake.
Dr. Christmas Jones is suspicious about Bond/Dr. Arkov and reappears with Arkov’s photograph: The guy should be 63 years old…
You're great! 👏
