And I would even pay full price if they did that. It's worth it.

Absolutely spot on. Why is it that every other franchise gets fantastic releases whilst us Bond fans just get the same discs that have been out for years?
I think I am more excited by the Indy release (despite KOTCS being included) than I am the Bond bluray set and even though I am not an Avengers fan that set looks brilliant.
Why not a special collectors edition blu ray set in a FRWL attache case with throwing knife, tear gas and gold sovreigns? Retailing at say £50 more than the standard set. I'd lap it up but EON seem only ever to want to do the bare minimum when it comes to merchandise. Doesnt really make sense because if they got the blurays right, a quality Corgi set, an amazing game I would easily drop £500 in their pocket.
As it is with the pathetic efforts they are releasing I'm just going to see SF about 3 or 4 times and thats all theyre getting. For them to get £500 off me that way I'd have to go and watch it over 50 times!
Bond is probably the biggest franchise after Star Wars so why dont they take a leaf out of George Lucas's book. That bloke knows how to rinse the fans time and time again, but he does it by releasing products the fans think they want.
Maybe when we have more features with the set - in 10 years time? - they'll give us something all Bond fans must really own.

I like that too. Thanks for the first look @marketto007.
That certainly works for me too gentleman! @-)
My thoughts exactly. Looks like we'll have to wait for a 60th Anniversary Edition for that possibility.
That's the bad thing about sets, when it comes to a franchise: it can never be complete, until the day they decide to completely stop doing the films forever. The only reason they left a spot for SF is so they can end up doing another 'Collector's Set' or what have you before the 60th Anniversary rolls around.
Meh.
Cant get too excited about a box, nice though it is. Before we start thanking EON over the packaging lets just remember the content of whats being packaged - the same discs we've had for years. The only reason the full Bluray set wasnt available before now was the MGM legal thing so lets not kid ourselves that we are being given anything special by EON. This is just the same strategy as Corgi - same old, same old just in a new box.
Still no full QOS release just the same paltry extras and still only 2 hours of fresh material. For a 50th anniversary I call that pretty feeble.
Compared to stuff like Lord of The Rings and Star Wars EONs extras are pretty pathetic. Especially considering those are for films with only 3 and 6 installments. We're talking 23 here!!!

I believe TDKR will be released on December 4th; was reading through random releases, and I want to say that's the date I spotted for it. Going to be a nice thing to have over my Christmas break.

They have both been released on blu-ray, and the artwork for them is great. I've found them on Amazon through a search, but I'm not sure about stores. I know I saw season two of 'Sherlock' at FYE the other day on blu-ray, so it's likely that they carry the first season, as well.
