When might we get...

Think about the blitz we got this late spring! April - now has been packed with information, both official and leaked!

I expect more interviews with the cast, more stills, at least 2 or 3 more videoblogs, 1 or 2 more trailers, another poster, and a few short clips right up at the end.

Now, with all of the things we expect, if you could have it one of two ways, which would it be?

A.) Everything spread out, as planned, over the next few months?
    OR
B.) You can have it all today, and nothing else until the release: you can have all the planned teasers/trailers, posters, video blogs, stills, interviews they planned, yet you get nothing else until SF's release?

A, obviously. You have to balance out the releases of teasers/posters/stills with the anticipation between each subsequent release of new film related content. If we get all the content at once, the anticipation is gone, the fun of waiting ruined.

I agree. Plus, I would probably suffer some sort of attack if I had a webpage full of all of that at once, and it can't be good for one's health.

when DAD was due to be released i seem to remember that they had 3 trailers that year, i think it was 2 teasers and 1 full trailer (i may be wrong). i thought i'd bring that up as that was the 40th anniversary so i was thinking maybe we will get 3 trailers this year too as its the 50th? just a thought.

I was re-watching the Craig-era Bond trailers last night, and it appears that the trailer for QoS was released in early July. It was 1:59, so perhaps that was the 'teaser.'

That QoS trailer is one of the best I have seen. Love it.

Same. I love how the theme picks up at the end, and cuts as soon as he ejects the magazine of his PPK.

I also think it has one of the greatest pieces of music for a Bond trailer. Arnold really has proven himself since the Brosnan era. I think QoS is his best work.

@JWESTBROOK, indeed, it's incredibly well done. I love re-watching the trailers for that.

I think that it was the trailercompany who lade the music for the trailer. Just like With CR and SF.

Sorry to bump this, but it's the 4th August, and we're lacking a title theme singer. Monday perhaps?

Well it's definitely the next big piece of news we'll get.

Maybe first they'll announce when they'll make the title song artist announcement. Like they did with the trailers, poster, and video blogs. I do hope it's soon though, I'm dying to find out!

Do they preview the songs before the movie comes out?

I think the soundtrack is released before the movie will come out. The QOS soundtrack was released 2 days before the world premiere.

If so, hopefully the titles of the tracks keep things vague. I remember when the soundtrack for a major movie was released a couple of weeks before the film itself and the titles gave everything away - including the end of the film and the (supposedly) surprise death of one of the lead characters!

Man, the more I think about it bonds made the mistake of taking on batman three times. casino royal went forward citing batman begins.
Qos had to pull back the release date to get out of the wake that dark knight caused at the box office.
and again this year the films marketing is looking a bit hollow compared to rises.

I agree. It's already 5 days later than when Another Way To Die was first announced in 2008 and still there's no sign of who the artist is going to be for Skyfall, despite the Adele rumours.

I was watching an old Top of the Pops four months ago and Kid Jenson mentioned that Carole Bayer Sager was in the country to write the theme song for TSWLM back in 1977. As these shows are from the original time slot it means that the announcements were made much earlier in the Cubby years and were no great secret, unlike today.

C'mon Babs & MGW, why the big secret? :-?
