2 - B-) Ralph Fiennes B-)
The rest.
Good call Sir (Ralph not Rog) - he would certainly be in the top 15. Albert Finney as well.
She's soooo good
You had a taste I see..... :))
It's the top 15, not the bottom 15. :)
Fine way to treat an Oscar winner ;)
Well, if we are talking length and breath of work outside the Bond canon - then yes, Honor Blackman.
She's still working at seventy something in TV and theatre.
Her work goes back to 1947 and her first film 'Fame is a Spur'. Her films include 'Green Grow the Rushes', 'Jason and the Argonauts', Come Die my love','A Night to Remember', Bridget Jones Diary and 'Shalako' with Connery. On TV she has done everything from Minder, Dr Who and Coronation Street.
That's not mentioning her stagework.
Maybe not as internationally petiigious as Jurgens and Lonsdale but still impressive.
I want to throw my computer out my window everytime I think that Halle Berry has won an Oscar... while Alfred Hitchcock has none.
Exactly. Oscars are not in any way shape or form proof of ability. It is all politics, where the Academy will literally give the award to someone who missed out on it years ago if they are nominated again, like Al damn Pacino, and discard all the other great performances which were leagues superior. And yes, Hitchcock you said. In addition, Gary Oldman has never won, neither has Leo DiCaprio, Chris Nolan, Kubrick never won, Edward Norton either:

Grrrrrrrr....... X(
In all fairness to Ms. Berry, a poorly written role can make any actor look bad, even a Oscar winner. My man Sir Sean has been in a few dogs himself that didn't show how great his skills are. I don't feel that she is overall a terrible actress by any means, I have enjoyed some of her work, whether she was Oscar worthy for "Monster's Ball" is debatable. But the Jinx character and dialogue were that bad that I don't think any actress alive could have done any better.
I blame the 40th anniversary hoopla and the scripting for that moment. Berry had to do what the script called for. But I'd agree that no one could make that moment as magical as Ursula.
Yes, another actress could improve. I SHOULDN'T WANT A BOND GIRL TO DIE IN THE FILM! With Jinx I kept crossing my fingers, hoping that her name was going to count for something and she would finally bite the dust.
2. Timothy Dalton
3. Daniel Craig
4. Joseph Wiseman
5. Robert Shaw
6. Bernard Lee
7. Judi Dench
8. Christopher Lee
9. Christopher Walken
10. Javier Bardem
11. Desmond Llewelyn
12. Albert Finney
13. Telly Savalas
14. Lois Maxwell
15. Roger Moore
That is a completely random order by the way. I think that's who I would pick as the top 15, so many to choose from, you see.
"Yo Momma", "I'll always be a Jinx to you", "I'm sooooooo bad". What gems those lines are L-) . Sure you could find an actress you might like better physically, for me I wouldn't care who was delivering them, I'd be groaning anyway. IMO, Berry did as good as anyone could have with that train wreck. I know she always wanted to be a Bond girl and all, but why she would have agreed to this garbage is well beyond my comprehension.
look at the famous line from Taken. 'I will look for you, I will find you... and I will kill you'. A very very cliched line we've heard a million times before... but Neeson's undeniable talent makes this line an instant cult classic. so IMO cliched/bad lines can be turned into gold by the actor's delivery.
Those were written with her in mind. If there was another actress in the role, like Rosamund should have been, things on the dialogue side would be different, which was a big part of the problem in the first place.
She should have insisted on a rewrite then.
But she isn't a brilliant and resourceful actress to do so. We have been over this!
It just goes to show that no matter how bad things were, it could have been even worse. And that is saying something when talking about Jinx.
I don't see it. She is just a shameful copy cat of a better woman (Ursula) in every foreseeable way.
Now that is scary. I'm not sure how what we got could have been worse. The only place it could go was up.
I think Halle looks good in the bikini too. She's not Ursula for sure. But I wouldn't turn her down either :D
Also, I am excluding the cast of Skyfall because three names would automatically be on it already.
1. Joseph Wiseman
2. Lotte Lenya
3. Robert Shaw
4. Donald Pleasence
5. Diana Rigg
6. Christopher Lee
7. Steven Berkoff
8. Timothy Dalton
9. Benicio Del Toro
10. Alan Cumming
11. Judi Dench
12. Jonathan Pryce
13. Daniel Craig
14. Jeffrey Wright
15. Giancarlo Giannini

I think the question is, why is your screen name such a conundrum?
