What do you think the car chase will be like in Skyfall?

I want to know what other people think the car chase in Skyfall will be like. I hope it isn't like casino royale when it only lasts for 50 seconds. What do you think?

It is not a carchase, it is something that leads up to the bikechase in the PTS. Which is the main action scene in the first part of the film. It is shot in Istanbul. But Eve is going after Bond and Patrice in a car whilist those two chase eachother first on motorbikes and then on the train later.

I think this topic fits better in the Spoiler section.

Bike chase first, then car and train action.

I just hope they're able to hold the camera still this time.

I think he's on about the DB5 videoblog. I guess it'll be a minute of Bond and M being classy around london, followed by the beautifull shots of the DB5 in the "scottish" countryside.

Yes it is pretty clear that there will be no action involved in the DB5 scenes with Bond and M

Yes, keep the camera still, no choppy edits and for the car chase, especially if it involves the db5 to last longer than a minute.

If it is half as decent as anything the movie Ronin did show than I am a happy puppy.

This. And I hope the car has gadgets, like it's rumoured.

I'm pretty sure that we won't get anything like QoS in SF. Even though i wouldn't care if it was.

I didn't look at spoilers although I'd most likely forget any, and all that was said by tomorrow morning. I'm not one really for car chases or motor madness in James Bond, at least not as much as others for sure. Whatever they come up with, I don't really mind the duration, but I emplore those involved - No shaky-cam BS from before where audiences must have been ready to vomit such was the nausea inducing effects from QOS, I want to see James Bond, not Blair Witch, so do me a favor and keep the camera still this time if you can. :-L The Royale chase in Montenegro was an overall disappointent too, but at least it was a prelude to those ridiculous scenes with LeChiffre and Bond. I'll wait until this end of year to see what they can come up with

I liked the QOS one but it made me a bit dizzy. Maybe something more conventional!

We should expect some like NT2 i think.

I believe i said already something before about this when we heard a big part of Skyfall will take place in other sides of London, something what is done before in NT2 too.

More like QOS-TMND thrill for London/China and more like CR-OP thrill for Turkey.

I like the car chase for QOS (Feels a bit GE/TMND), but to short. The worse thing from that chase be the last moment of it after the white/snow rocks. Bond driving his car in to another era, to quike in another part of Italy.

Were the rumours about the on the move transfer from a Jaguar to a Range Rover (or was it the other way round?) at Smithfield market ever confirmed? Could this coincide with the short clip we've seen of Bond escaping with M in a Jaguar XJ?

Then there is the section were we know Bond is tailing someone from the airport into central Shanghai, and there is some mystery surrounding a few photos of the DB5 during production. Its entirely possible though that the DB5 simply transports Bond and M to Scotland and I suspect any action on the highways in China is relatively short as the second unit and stuntman were only working at this location for three days.

All we know for sure is
about the pre-credit chase sequence involving the Land Rover, Audi and Honda motorbikes.

Excellent i hope seeing as its an anniversary Bond!

From the trailer we see Bond with a signature gun at the wheel of a car, I think this is from the part in Shanghai. The buttons on the steering wheel suggest that its a Mercedes, so we can assume he uses this to tail whoever it is from the airport.

land rover, audi, honda, mercedes, jaguar, aston martin, ... Looks more real than the other ford related films where all we saw were jags, fords, land rovers and astons. Although there were the Alfas and the volvo in QOS.

Ford owned Volvo at the time. That's the only reason Craig drove the S40 R-Design. As for the Alfas, that was just a good choice. Perfect cars to go against the Aston.

I'm not as much a motor enthusiast as others when it comes to Bond, but I hope there is not an overuse of gadgets or elaborate modifications for this years wheels. With Craig, in his two releases, if we can look at the actor in question, we got back to a sort of Connery or Dalton depiction, and while not on the Fleming-esque level (yet) of either, has really done quite well after some initial skepticisms. Point being, I would ideally like to see Skyfall keep car gadgets to a minimum, as with Royale, and Bond dependant on his dexterity and know how as an individual rather than what fancy additions his motor can do. Some people enjoy an abundance of car extras but wasn't always for that, merely concentrated on what Bond could do on his feet, or use of gadgets outside of a vehicle you understand
