I think I'm going to wait until after SF's release to get this. I'm really looking forward to it!

Did you click on his spoiler? It's not related to the film, but rather the series you'd say. It only spoils a tiny part of the film, that's not really part of the film

I didn't, and I'm worried to do so. While it may not be a big spoiler to you all, it could be something large for me. I'd like to see what it is, but I've already had a whole bunch spoiled for me.

Okay, I can promise it will be worth the wait to see it on the big screen if you can manage ;)

    EXTREME SPOILER ALERT (kinda)
    NEW GUNBARREL!!!

    tumblr_mb2zh0Yclg1qc2maxo1_1280.jpg

    My question is:
Who is actually directing this gunbarrel? Daniel Kleinman or Sam Mendes?? Or perhaps both?
  • @Creasy47 We all have, or even some of us, and in more ways than one for this overall upcoming release of the next Bond adventure looming large on the horizon now. I even had a look at last spoiler, and in truth, what was there to spoil? I.e. it didn't really reveal much to me, I was totally indifferent. Whatever there was to spoil, it simply didn't do anything, above all else. Maybe just wait until the movie's release as some are suggesting. I myself have been trying to divorce myself from all things Skyfall for the last few weeks, but it's not always as simply as that

Please don't spoil the spoiler next time. Please.

So sorry! I need to get used to these spoiler tags. I edited my message. Please do the same :-). But I would like to get an answer to my question...
  • Honestly, if you consider that a spoiler, you should probably stay out of the Skyfall boards.

Now edit your latest Gustav. Haha what have we done!!!
  • @Battleships Bit of a problem when 90 per cent of all recent Bond talk is such related

But no, what I saw, didn't represent a spoiler or anything such, I thought actually, what some people with subsequent responses were getting so excited over ?

Both. Mendes probably tells Kleinmen what he wants and then DK does the rest. Though as far as the walk is concerned- it's prob Mendes
  • I've always wondered how much time they've spent on the gunbarrel, and how much they experiment with poses, or if it's an "Alright just turn and shoot at the camera and let's call it a day." sort of deal.

    I think....
that for every Bond actor (Sean, George, Roger, Tim, Pierce and now Daniel.....and Bob Simmons) this must be quite a defining scene. I think this kind of scene gives the Bond actor the actual butterflies. You know..."Sjee, I AM Bond". Something that also caused many nerdy guys to create their own gunbarrel sequence on YouTube ;-).

  • I thought he would've just replicated the QoS gunbarrel with maybe a slower walk. It's an interesting pose though. Eager to see how it looks in motion.

Interesting pose, hopefully it flows well.

As for who's in charge, it will be Daniel Kleinman. This afterall is something for the series going forward, not just this film.

I hope it's Mendes and Deakins who is in charge when it comes to the gunbarrel and NOT Kleinman.

Why not? Anyway, Mendes will know what he wants I'm sure, but it will be Kleinman who shoots it, just like he did with GoldenEye and Casino Royale.

Well, for someone who has been trying to steer clear of any spoilers, the entire book is one giant spoiler. There are an incredible number of photos. In their totality, along with the captions, they give away plot, characters, locations, vehicles, etc.; quite a bit can be gleemed. The first post on page 3 of this topic is one of the best, not that there is such a scene but that it is a photo from the filming. As I said it is an amazing book but my advice for someone who wants Skyfall to be a totally fresh viewing, I would avoid it until after I've seen the film.

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm S001 :> ? Is there any page that you would like scanned, and posted, until you get yours?

Oh, no sarcasm and I'm more than happy to wait and even resist looking at the book when it arrives.
  • So many spoilers. Must...not...click....
  • So, since this book is released and most of us have it, what is your favorite "BOND ON SET"? mine is SF, but that could just be the "new" factor.
