British actress Rosamund Pike, who shot to worldwide fame in 2002 through her Bond Girl role as Miranda Frost, says she wants to do all of her own stunts in future films.

Now 33, and having given birth to her son Solo just three months ago, the "Die Another Day" star told the <a href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2190364/Im-going-mother-stunt-women-Bond-girl-Rosamund-Pike-wants-stunts-future-films.html"; target="_blank">Daily Mail</a> that he motherhood is not going to slow her down. "I’m loving being a mother, but it’s not making me think I need time away from acting," she said.

"My most recent film was Jack Reacher, with Tom Cruise, just before I had my baby. He genuinely does his own stunts."

"I want to be the first female actor who does all her own stunts in a movie – he has inspired me."

Hahaha...She's joking right? She doesn't think she'll REALLY be the first one ever...

She can do a triple pike with a twist and a tuck all over me...I do like a hard stunt now and again!

My first thoughts too. At least she was inspired by Tom Cruise. That's something, right? ;)

Somebody said "she can do a 'Triple Pike' " /:)

Hard to believe she was only 22/23 during production of Die Another Day, whenever I watch it, she seems so much older, and she's not the first female actor to do her own stunts as we all know. Said it before, in an ideal world, I would of wanted her to be the real bond girl in 2002 and survive to the end and not have the awful Berry to the end and even worse, killed by said Berry, such a shame each time you watch it...

Could even have been a possible Moneypenny but that idea seems doomed to failure

Probably the best thing about Dire Another Day. I don't 'go' for blondes but she is one hot lady, absolutely gorgeous, and yes Baltimore she should have been the real Bond girl. No doubt. I also like the idea of her as a future Moneypenny, Bond 24 perhaps?

I honestly doubt Rosamund would ever want to return to the world of Bond. ;-)

Why not?. Think how many reoccuring actors and actresses we've had for Bond over the years, and obviously while the Miranda Frost character can't return (a real shame), I don't see any reason why Pike can't make a second appearance in a year or two with another character. Maybe I don't like the idea of a good character being taken out by another character I fail to recognize, but for sure, would ideally like to see Rosamund Pike back again sooner or later, but this time as one of the good guys or if not that, then surviving character at least. I just think she's an actress of potential

TBH, I believe that after DAD and Doom, Rosamund has been steering away from mainstream or blockbuster filmmaking as much as possible, with perhaps a few notable exceptions. I am also of the opinion that some of her interviews have revealed a bit of regret for having ever done a Bond film.

I love the Pickelet as a Bond girl. She impressed me so much in DAD, I went to see the film multiple times mostly because of her. I merely think she's attracted to a different kind of filmmaking entirely.
  • I saw an interview with her about Johnny English 2 where she said she didn't want to do it if it was just a big piss take, because she loves Bond and she basically owed her career to it. So I don't think she regrets it.

Most people would jump at the chance to be part of a Bond movie, regardless of gender, or would look back, with something of pride, so I don't believe either that Pike has any misgivings, in retrospect, about being part of the wonderful world of Bond

Out of all the characters in DAD, I think she had the best character development.

In that case, I stand corrected. :-)

She should have had more screen time that jinx. It was criminal that she was vastly under used and her character was never fleshed out properly. She had the ability to have been pb's vesper. We could have written out jinx completely.

    And she had great knockers.
