    @Shardlake, I'm sorry to hear that. I lost two cats in within a very short time when I was in high school. They both got sick around the same time and it was pretty devastating. Took a long time to come to terms with it.
    I love the two cats I have now and would be gutted if anything happened to either one of them. They bring a lot of happiness and fun to my household.

    @Shardlake That's terrible news; I'm very sorry to hear that. I would be devastated to lose either of my cats - I am very close to them, and they have been wonderful companions in times of hardship. I am sorry for your loss.

    My condolences, @Shardlake. I can't speak for loving cats, but there's been many a great dog in my life that I've had to say goodbye to so I know the feeling of missing an animal that feels as much like a human as you can imagine. It's never easy to say goodbye, but the memories are worth holding on to.

    I'm sorry to hear this, @Shardlake. I've had cats for the last 35 years or so and obviously had to see a few of them go, but one never gets to the point where it doesn't hurt. My present two cats will both be 16 years old next April (or so I hope), and I'm happy that they're still around, but at the same time their age makes me somewhat uneasy about things to come, and their visits to the vet keep becoming more frequent.

    One thing I do know, though: The best remedy for grief about the loss of a cat is adopting another one as soon as possible.

    I'm so sorry for your loss @Shardlake. I don't own a cat, but a dog, and while his grey moustache is getting bigger (he still does have a lot of energy when it comes time to go out for walkies), I am not thinking about the inevitable, instead I am taking each day as the beginning of a new adventure.

    Pets are family members as far as I have always been concerned. Thinking of you both.

    Sorry for your loss @Shardlake, pets are an enormous part of our lives. To lose one is heartbreaking and sad. My thoughts are with you and your family.

    Also sad to learn of the passing of Rance Howard. Many film and TV credits to his name. Seemed like a genuine nice guy.

    @Shardlake I know how you feel, lost a cat last year and was devastated. Basically, the little fellow was around from when I was 15 untill I was 27.

    Losing one’s pet cannot be underestimated, let the great memories give you all the strenght you need.

    I'm sorry to hear about Rance Howard. I've seen him in a lot of of productions. But I best remember him as Bruce Boxleitner's dad in "BABYLON 5".

    R.I.P. Mr. Howard.


    By the way, David Cassidy DID pass away on November 21.

    Much appreciate all the kind words guys, it will be a week tomorrow it happened and we both still can't quite believe it.

    I must agree pets are family member, even more so for us as we've not been able to have children so our cats have been ours.

    We still have our Dolly, she is more of an outdoor cat though, we love her to bits but Tilly was the one who spent the time in the house and kept my Wife company as she works from home, she is feeling the loss even more than me.

    In the new year we are going to look into geting another cat from the same place we got Dolly & Tilly from, give another unfortunate abandoned furry one a loving home.

    The last surviving cast member of Ed Wood's crew CONRAD BROOKS has passed away. Memorable in PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE and GLEN OR GLENDA.

    Back in '97 a friend arranged to have Conrad sign autographs at a screening of GLEN OR GLENDA and I got to spend the weekend with him. My friend was doing a documentary on Conrad in which I participated. He had some great stories on Ed Wood and Bela Lugosi. I especially wanted to hear him talk about Lugosi. We had a blast.
    He came back to town a second weekend in the fall of '97 to see the documentary, and stayed with my family. I can remember him wanting to watch the Fredric March DR JEKYLL AND MR HYDE so we popped it in. I showed him around town. Sad to hear he's passed.

    RIP old friend.

    Damn, I knew I recognized the name Chegwin, had seen him on Extras and thought he was hilarious on it. Checked out his 80's TV show, which had a nice seizure-inducing intro! RIP, Keith.

    That's always a go-to laugh for me, especially the bloopers section of it. Gervais' laugh is ridiculously over the top and contagious to me. Go check out some bloopers from Derek, never fails to make me laugh.
