    I think Michael Gothard made one of the most underrated villains of the series. It’s the fact that he looks so normal which makes him so threatening.

    On a sidenote, I think his character was meant to be Belgian since he was described as being from the Brussels underworld and having a record in the Namur prison. That makes Locque one of the few connections to my country in the entire franchise.

    I don’t think Bauchau did a bad job, he just wasn’t given a lot to do.
    He fairs a lot better in Argento’s Phenomena (also with Donald Pleasance).

    Anyway, time for Bond to come to Brussels or Bruges I’d say ;)

    Suicides is very sad but not really a curse per se.....you could make a case for the stuntman though as that was an accident.

    Bruce and Brandon Lee on the other hand......dunno about curse but certainly unlucky :(

    Very sad news about the shocking early death of the lovely Emma Chambers at just 53 (from natural causes). I saw her in a repeat of the first Christmas Special of The Vicar of Dibley just this last Christmas Eve and was reminded of her great comic talent.

    Just saw this on Facebook. Three time Bond director Lewis Gilbert has sadly passed away.
    Sad news indeed, The Spy Who Loved Me being my introduction to Bond, and a genuine Bond classic.
    Thank you for your wonderful contribution to the world of James Bond, rest in peace Mr.Gilbert.

    Very sad news about Lewis Gilbert passing away, though at least he had a good innings.

    He directed three of the biggest and most outlandish Bond films and they are the ones that the public consciousness most associated with James Bond. That will assure his legacy in the history of the Bond films.
