One of my grandfathers died long before I was born (my father was 16), and the other I lost in 2016.

RIP Peter Mayhew. What a fantastic man.
Chewie has long been one of my favourite characters in the Star Wars films. Bringing so much character to a non speaking role. A sad day.
Regardless of our personal opinions, I don't think we need to speak ill of the dead.
Let's leave it at that.

Just read this on the front of the papers! The Sun..."Freddie Starr joins his hamster!!" Class as always
Excellent film! Great cast. And directed by Michael Apted!
How respectful of that revolting excuse for a newspaper.
Freddie was always a favourite of mine growing up. Gave me so many great laughs over the years. Like a lot of funny men he had some problems with depression.
He had serious heart problems. Had a quadruple by pass, and general bad health!
I agree, in his prime he was a very funny comedian!

I remember "The Mod Squad" as such, but no single episode, and don't know how many I've actually seen. It seems there were 27 episodes that were shown on German TV from 1970 to 1973. The "German" title of the show was rather Denglish: "Twen-Police" (no, this is not meant to be a translation). At my adolescent age of the time, I thought Peggy Lipton was really cute. But then she was ten years older than me.
I have never seen Twin Peaks so far (I do have a Blu-ray set of the series, but haven't got around to watching it so far), and I wasn't aware Peggy was in it.
The actor I remember best, somehow, from the show is Clarence Williams III. He went on to play, among other roles, in one of my all-time favourite movies, Giuseppe Tornatore's The Legend of 1900 (La leggenda del pianista sull'oceano), where he portrayed famous ragtime and jazz pianist Jelly Roll Morton.
But this posting should be about Peggy. May she rest in peace.
