    Fresh Prince is a show I watched again and again throughout the 90s. It's turned me into a faithful Will Smith fan.
    Reading about James Avery's demise makes me sad. He always looked like a nice guy to me.

    Man, this hurts. Fresh Prince is my favorite show, one I grew up with and know every episode of by heart. James Avery's performance as Uncle Phil truly transcended the TV format and reach me in a special way, where he came off as a figure of great moral principal and paternal strength. You could always learn a lesson from that show, and many of those same lessons were delivered to us almost solely by Avery, who showed off his acting prowess and palpable presence in every scene. He could make you laugh, cry and take a step back and think, and he will be very missed. Thankfully he will go down in legend as one of the greatest TV dads to ever grace our television screens. RIP.

    Just read in today's Times that Elizabeth Jane Howard, the novelist and second wife of Bond author and scholar Sir Kingsley Amis died yesterday, 2 January 2014 aged 90.

    Sadly the news has broken that Simon Hoggart has passed away after more than 3 years of coping with his cancer RIP.

    Hong Kong producer Run Run Shaw, whose kung fu movies have been an inspiration for, among others, Quentin Tarentino, has passed away at the respectable age of 106.

    Sad news, but what a great age he was. Not many see it. I may have to look out those films you mentioned.

    I've just sceen on the BBC news website that Alexandra Bastedo has passed away
    Most probably she will be remembered from The Champions .
    It would appear that she was also in CR67 playing Meg ? A sad loss Rip.

    Yes she was beautiful and a Bond Girl. Style, class and gorgeous. Blink and you will miss her in batman begins....Nolan loved hervs well and caste her especially.

    Oh no, that's so sad to learn. Such a memorable character he played in Fools and Horses, and a true talent. Always made me laugh when he called Rodney, Dave.He will be missed.

    Absolutely gutted to see the passing of Roger Lloyd Pack. The man was comedy gold and will be sorely missed! Trigger will always be the peoples favourite! But it was nice to see him given other roles in the Harry Potter films, Dr Who and the Vicar of Dibley.

    Having lost a brother to this heartless disease, in particular Pancreatic cancer, I know what the family is most likely experiencing. RIP Roger! =D>
