  Sad and quite shocked to hear of Sir Terry Wogan's death. I recall that his favourite Bond impression was as Goldfinger: "Strict rules of golf, Mr Bond." He also interviewed John Gardner at one stage.

  Well, the British coverage of the Eurovision Song Contest has never been the same without him.
  
  Let's not forget some other deaths : french writers Michel Tournier and Edmonde Charles-Roux (never read a single one of their works, I'm afraid to say), and italian film director Ettore Scola (I've seen "We've all loved each other so much", which I liked).

  I've just watched this on the news so sad to see his passing went to see EW&F in the 80s when they came over to the UK a most incredible show with magic and levitating on the stage and of course great music RIP Maurice White .

  Quite distraught by the death of Maurice White. EW&F is, maybe, my fav band. I know he was suffering from Parkinson for a very long time, but one never expects things like this.
  
  Now, to listen to the whole discography of EW&F, including solo White, solo Bailey and The Emotions. They always manage to bring a a smile.

  Very sad news - the band Viola Beach and their manager wiped out in a car crash in Sweden. Unbelievable really, even though I wasn't familiar with them. :(
