RIP George Kennedy. He had a long career but I remember him best from the
    Naked Gun films.

    Me too.

Like Nielsen, Kennedy had a wonderful transition into comedy.

You can't beat the smart comedy of yesteryear. A shame to see so many comedy greats dying off.

"Frank snap out of it. You're looking at her like she was your mother for Christ sake"

Sad that both of them have now passed away. I met Leslie Nielsen in 2000 when he was doing a show near to where I live in the UK.

Yes, as I'm pretty sure that God has a sense of humour too.

Little bit left field but I best remember George Kennedy from Airport 80 the Concorde, it's just one of those movies that stuck with me since I was a kid. RIP

RIP George Kennedy, what a wonderful actor he was. From his Oscar winning role in Cool Hand Luke to the airport movies. But it seems many of us remember his easy transition into comedy with the Naked Gun series playing Ed Hocken alongside Leslie Nielsen. 91 is a great age to get too, but you'll still be missed. RIP.

Nobody in France has ever heard about "Corrie", but a french site has announced the death of its creator, Tony Warren, who passed away aged 79 :

Remember seeing George in Charade and Death Ship as a kid. Not forgetting Carter Mccay in Dallas. George has appeared in a supprising amount of classic movies, a likable actor R.I.P.

Yes, very sad news, I heard about that on BBC Radio 4. I wasn't familiar with his name but I'm interested in the science fact of Moonraker and the experts called in to make it look as realistic as possible. There could be an article in there somewhere. I touched on it a bit here:

Never liked her or her husband much to be honest, but I like and respect their son Ron Reagan, so my condolences to him. Whatever one may think of the Reagans and their policies (whether we agreed with them or not), they were very good parents.

Sad to hear of the death of Sir George Martin. His score for LALD was a highlight of the film and his work as the producer of The Beatles is the stuff of legend.
