Just sharing but my dad and I always saw Bond in the cinema together. He was too sick to see SF in the theater but we watched on BluRay..

Quantum was the last Bond film we saw together. SP was the first without him. I missed him there ..he would have liked it.

It's with great sadness that I announce the death of Gareth Thomas, better known to the fans of British science-fiction as Roj Blake, the leader of the "Blake's 7".

    telegraph.co.uk/tv/2016/04/14/blakes-7-actor-gareth-thomas-dies-aged-71/

Darn, I really loved that show when I saw it on BBC Prime in the 90s.

Et Darth : Toutes mes condoléances. Puisse le souvenirs des bons jours atténuer votre chagrin.

Sad to report that Ian Fleming's literary agent and former Glidrose Board member Peter Janson-Smith has died at the age of 93:

Sadder still that I didn't get my phone interview with him done, though I tried to contact him several times.

Sad to learn of the passing of Doris Roberts, memorable as Marie in Everybody Loves Raymond.
She also appeared opposite Pierce Brosnan in Remnington Steele.
    RIP Doris Roberts

RIP Doris Roberts, I'll always think of her as Remmington Steele's secretary.

R.I.P. Victoria Wood, shocking news as not that old. Another victim of cancer. Not a fan though recognise the work she did, Acorn Antiques etc.

This is so sad. Guy Hamilton has passed away.

Sir Roger Moore just tweeted this news:
Incredibly, incredibly saddened to hear the wonderful director Guy Hamilton has gone to the great cutting room in the sky. 2016 is horrid.

    R.I.P. Guy Hamilton.

Must indeed be horrible for Roger to have so many friends go lately. One of the biggest downsides of getting older I suppose.

Bond lore has lost one of the greats. Cinema has lost one of the greats. GOLDFINGER is without a doubt the most iconic Bond film, owing greatly to Hamilton's superlative direction. DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER, LIVE AND LET DIE and THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN are also some of my favourite entries. Their quirkiness is not to be found in any other Bond films.

RIP Guy Hamilton- your contribution to the Bond series is invaluable.

Sad news on the passing of Guy Hamilton. As such I have set up a separate thread to honour and dedicate our thoughts for this much loved member of the Bond team.

Aww, Guy Hamilton, though sadly I was kind of expecting that one given his advanced years. He was a year older than my late father. :(

It can't be nice but I think by the time you get to that age you get used to it. That was the case with my grandfather.

Not meaning to be morbid but how long before we lose one of connery, Lazenby or moore? : (

I actually once had a dream that Lazenby died. Don't ask me why I dreamt that or why Laz in particular because I have no idea.

We all know it WILL happen though, but I have a feeling Moore will get to 90 at the very least.
