I’m not mocking the video, I’m sure it’s a more positive take than the typical YouTuber. I just refuse to watch videos when it could easily have been transcribed in a blog.
Thanks. Yup, that's what we're saying here too. We know for a fact there weren't reshoots, because it had been certificated by the MPAA before the point the weird YouTube liars were saying it was having reshoots. At least a month ago in fact.
Indeed; sounds like this one could've been a tweet.
These terms like 'triggered' are meaningless.
Maybe I'll make a half hour video about it.
Not sorry. ;)
Haha!
Incidentally: it's just occurred to me. Remember Eon's big 'no spoilers' push for NTTD? How it was premiered about a day before release? All to hide the fact that Bond dies. Lucasfilm are happy showing this seven weeks before it releases, which perhaps suggests that either they really want people to know Indy dies- or maybe he just doesn't.
The BO of Star Wars has dropped with each successive film. She hired lots of directors with much fanfare and then fired them all or delayed their projects. I am not sure there are any big screen releases coming.
Is this all on her? Maybe the hiring and letting go of talent is tied to her. Though one could argue that she had the good sense to not let Rian J have his own trilogy after Last Jedi. The duo behind Solo were let go for creative differences, not sure what those were but she damaged the chance of that film making money. She hired and then fired the duo behind Game of Thrones, Patty Jenkins was hired and then her project was delayed.
Does make one wonder about her leadership and choices of talent. What type of power or creative control did she have on DOD? I would say likely very little.
Not only is that on topic, but also matches my current expression.
I think likely quite a lot. She's been on Indy since way before she was on Star Wars (starting on Raiders), she was on set on day one, and is married to the producer of the films. She would be involved quite a bit. Moreso than other exec producers like George Lucas, certainly. When we're speaking choices of talent, I'm not sure what's wrong with James Mangold. Have a look at his track record.
But equally I'd say that it seems these films are made by their directors and producers. I wonder how much creative control Spielberg had, although I'm sure he had input.
I’d say Disney has played a part as well in how they boss around their subsidieries. Look at that whole fiasco where they fired James Gunn from GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 3, only to rehire him sometime later which caused the film a longer delay than it should have had.
Another big factor is their RUSH RUSH RUSH of the sequel trilogy. Ideally, those films should have had three years in between like the previous trilogies and I bet you that Kathleen Kennedy 100% agrees with that assessment. Disney has pushed the Star Wars franchise way too fast and aggressive to the detriment of the filmmakers’ creative output.
In spite of that, Disney has still enjoyed major success with the brand. The only real failure in terms of box office was SOLO.
Well...
But then I was looking forward too KOTCS.
When will we know the runtime?
Beautiful new poster too, might be favourite of the bunch.
Is it official?
