That’s nuts. I remember years and years ago, maybe in 2002 or so that Indy 4 was in development and it was set to star Brad Pitt as Indy’s younger brother who is a rival archaeologist 🤣

The majority of the film will be set in the 1960s, with some WW2 scenes. As for what percentage of the film will be set during WW2, nobody knows.
I don’t these are WW2 era. This is set in the 60’s ; in real time , starting with Raiders, it would be the late 70’s . I think they will be a mild de-aging for these segments and something more substantial for the WW2 segment.

This is a bit stranger because he's not got a darker wig on- I'm not sure why they'd CG his hair? I wonder if the dots here are to add injuries, or possibly just make him look wet?

I think there will be different degrees of de-aging, with the 1960’s being subtle and the 1940’s more substantial.
I don't seem them worrying hugely about Ford's age not matching Indy's- they didn't last time.
Absolutely they would use points of registration. Even mild manipulations require points of reference.

Cause Toby Jones has a dot on his lip that obviously can't be for CGI purposes...
No, plenty of mild adjustments get made without them. If we see him wearing these dots throughout all of the filming for the next few months then you may be right.

If it's better than KOTCS then I'll be happy. Aside from a few moments, the last Indy adventure was a big let down. Possibly because it looked like most of it was filmed on stages, rather than real locations. Oh and the inclusion of Shia LaBeouf.

Those are all the best examples of the technology and yet most still didn't look great or convince, I feel. Downey looked like a waxwork (granted, it was early days for this sort of thing then) and Jackson looked nice when he wasn't moving, but when he did move he moved like old Sam Jackson, which ruined the whole illusion. Douglas was the only decent effort I think - and that's likely to do with the fact that they upped Hayley Atwell's age in the same scene so the FX were easier to accept. There was a direct visual contrast present that sold it a bit better.
I'm really excited for this next Indy film, and everything about it so far has been very promising, but I do hope that the de-aging stuff is kept to a minimum as I feel there are still some inherent limitations with the tech.
