'Looking out of my window as the rain lashed down during one of those grey austerity-ridden days in post-war Britain, I made two of the biggest decisions of my life; one, never to spend winter in England again; two, to write the spy story to end all spy stories'.
And that is what Ian Fleming did. Designing his own Jamaican retreat and calling it 'Goldeneye' before sitting down to write 'Casino Royale', the novel that would introduce secret agent James Bond 007 to the world.
This new production marks the 50th anniversary of the first Bond film, 'Dr. No'.
In this one-man play Michael Chance portrays Fleming as he sets about creating his alter-ego, James Bond. Written by Mark Burgess, The Man with the Golden Pen is directed by Louise Jameson.

Goldfinger won the on-line voting for May's Most Wanted Monday. It beat out 4 other contestants. This will be awesome. Cost is only $5.00 and it will be a full digital big-screen big-sound presentation, which will present way better than the original GF theatre showings of the 60's and 70's. Not to be missed!

A gala performance celebrating 20 years of leading performance arts company Theatretrain, who every year create large scale spectacular shows for young people aged between 6 and 18.
Licence to Thrill is a homage to James Bond and tells the story of arch criminal Sebastian Strake who plans to take over the money markets of the world and make them crash. And he will try to do all this without the help of bankers!
In a furiously paced chase, 007 and his American counterpoint Venus Ryder set out to save the world from the power of this evil, egomaniac.
With a huge choir including some specially invited schools and a 19 piece orchestra this show brings in well known Bond songs from across 40 years, prepare to be shaken and stirred!
Theatretrain are the only company in the UK who annually put hundreds of young people onto some of the best known stages in the UK. They have created 7 shows at the Royal Albert Hall including Voices for a Better World in 2010.

Over the course of twenty-two films covering the life of 007, James Bond, one element has remained constant: the opening credit sequence. Beginning with “Dr. No,” the opening credits, created by Maurice Binder, have functioned as separate and unique works of art—a ground-breaking exercise of cinema as daring as the title character, calculated to immerse us in the sensibility of 007.
This exhibition was co-organized by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and Loyola Marymount University's School of Film and Television. The organizers are grateful for the special collaboration of Danjaq LLC and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios.
All current exhibitions, except are included in the price of general admission. Groups of 10 or more paid tickets in one transaction receive a discount on general admission tickets. Find out more about exhibitions on view.
