:)) That's like saying heads I win, tails you lose. Or Herman Munster asking Grandpa if his and Lily's new baby will be a boy or girl, and Grandpa saying "Probably".
I'm thinking Severine will be toast at one point, but I am hoping to be wrong.
My favourite post this week.
CR was like OHMSS, therefore the next film needed closure. That closure has now happened so bring it back on in SF.
You are spot on. Eve (Naomi) lives and Bereniece bites the dust. It is in keeping with the sacrificial lamb and all that formulaic bull.
That's what I think too. The bigger question is, does Bond have a girl in the end?
I agree. Most of the films since the very beginning DN ends with Bond having the girl on or near a body of water. Exceptions being OHMSS, LALD, MR, GE, DAD, CR, QoS (AVTAK was a shower scene so it also counts as part of the rule)
I think we gonna get him seducing Eve on or near a body of water in keeping with the formula endings. DC was denied this in his two efforts maybe this time he gets a chance to close in the arms of his leading lady (who will be Eve)
To be truthful I would be indifferent either way if Bond ends up with a Girl, or not, at the end once more, not seen since the Brosnan tenure ten years ago, but as we have not thus far seen a repeat, maybe they've taken a new direction?
I hope Craig once again emerges victorious on his own, but spare the girls, I don't want them necessarily killed off, but if Bond once again, ends up on his own, I think that could work
1)
Sévérine is tied up against the statues in her red dress. She has obviously been abused. Bond and Silva just come outside walking past the statues.
2)
Here we see Sévérine up close.
3)
Then, all at a sudden, Bond being shocked completely, Raoul Silva coldheartedly kills Sévérine with an old cowboy pistol.
The last time a Bond girl was killed that bluntly by someone else than Bond, was perhaps in 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service', when Irma Bunt kills off Tracy. Allthough Andrea Anders comes to mind as well, as we saw in 'The Man With The Golden Gun'.
I think, this will be quite a shocker scene :-). Indeed the 'Thunderball' of our lifetime.
Jinx and Bond are in that small temple by the sea
Severine is the Bond-girl you're talking about? Because I think Eve will the one that sighs out "Oooh Jamessss" at the very end of the movie...in bed with 007 off course ;-).
Filmed in that exotic Bond location of Penbryn Wales :)
Let's hope so. I agree with all you, I can see Severine dying and Eve surviving.
Berenice has "Sacrificial Lamb" written all over her.
Let's hope so. How about Bond snogging Eve amongst the glowing embers of Skyfall as the dawn rises over the nearby Loch?
I hope he does for this one! But I have a bad feeling he won't. I don't want another film ending on a down note.
CR had sort of a happy ending with "Bond, James Bond", but still, Vesper was dead, it was a bit depressing.
QOS, it was meant to be a happy ending because Bond had found the guy who killed Vesper but the setting, the darkness, it all felt really cold and morbid.
I hope we get a proper happy ending for SF, with Bond in bed with the girl.
So yep, I think Bond and Eve at the end.
Berenice looks too thin in recent shots. She needs a good meal.
