Do people really think QoS is the WORST James Bond movie?
I've noticed a lot of people saying it on these forums, and a lot of lists of their favourite Bonds have QoS right at the very bottom. I'm just wondering whether people here genuinely feel that Quantum of Solace is the WORST Bond movie.
Look, I'm not defending it as a good movie, but it wasn't THAT bad. I think sometimes people need to watch it again to realise that it's got some good parts to it, great acting by Craig, and some fantastic action sequences (opening car chase and the finale come to mind). Sure, the plot wasn't great, but the knowledge that the Writers Strike practically make Craig write some of the script helps appreciate the movie more.
Then when we compare it to other Bond movies, is it really the worst? Worse than DAD, worse than Moonraker or TMWTGG? They were pretty poor movies, and I just can't put them anywhere above QoS in the quality department.

Sure, the editing is terrible, and the scipt is pretty weak, but the film is full of stand out moments, such as the pre-titles car chase, the whole opera scene, oil fields and the plane chase. The film looks lovely, the score is good, and the actors give good performances all 'round. It's in my top 10.

I don't think this should count. As we are so close to the release of Skyfall, I think it's appropriate that we should look back and reflect on the previous movie. Also, this thread is more of a poll, to see what this forum generally feels about the movie. Lots of those other threads are either versus pages, or based on a news article, or a rant by someone who didn't like the movie. And it's nice to get the views of people that weren't on here when it first came out.
Then again, if the mods really feels it's inappropriate and been done before, so be it.
With QOS, the problems are there from the start and it doesn't get any better. I think it's just a mess that doesn't even feel like a Bond film a lot of the time.

Theres a couple of the regulars who makes lots of noise about disliking it (mainly those who grew up with Brosan) but when we do a Quantum of Solace versus...poll it actually does very well.
I have thought it was an adult piece since it came and have been beating its drum since release. Due to Skyfall the bashers have been out in force recently.
I agree with your incredulity at this crazy comment. While QOS is underrated IMO it's still not in the same class of LTK. For starters
Sanchez it's much more of a threat than Greene and don't get me started on the henchman comparison, Dario v Elvis!

My first Bond was Dalton and I don't like QOS.

I saw all his films at the cinema and I thought he was a great Bond, but I'd seen all of Connery's, OHMSS and most of Moore's before GE was even out.
And anyway, @00Beast and @Creasy47 are probably the two biggest Brosnan fans on here and they like QOS.
Right on brother! Must be channeling that LALD cabbie again. Still think DAD may be worse, I waffle on that sometimes :-?
I find the Connery movies over-rated.
