I also don't see anything wrong with talking about the next Bond actor. Craigs not going to be Bond forever so I don't see the problem thinking about who might come after him.
@RC7 Trouble with that is SF was one of the few good things about the 50th. The celebrations we got were pretty poor I thought.
But I may won't see : - Hugh Jackman (yes, he can act and play) as 007. I don't really like Craig, I appreciate him. Especially in "Skyfall", quite in "Casino Royale".
- the beginning gunbarrel without disappear of the bloody silhouette
- A MAN singing a classical title song, which would be the title film (like Tom Jones indeed, or even "à la Frank Sinatra" 's Matt Monro) ; Seal maybe ?
- A new brand car (return of Lotus, Audi R8,...)
- new AMAZING gadgets (those in Skyfall where cool, more simple and super-efficient in the line of realism) ; "SURPRISE US!" ... not so unrealistic as the invisible car (even though it's used in the armies) neither.
- an ending credits song, as the super-powerful "Surrender", or romantic as "The Experience of Love".
/i\ - this might me schoking but I dare thinking arab people could me awesome and...up-to-date henchmen. It's just an idea, don't blame me.
Nothing else, for the moment... :D
2.New car
3."Shaken, not stirred"
4.Chris Nolan, or Matthew Vaughn as the director.
5.Kate Winslet or Rachel Weiz as Bond girls.
6.William Dafoe as a Bond villian.
7."Pay attention 007" from Q.
8.007 & Moneypenny flirtting with one another.
9.New gadgets.
Specifically the new Jag F-type
=P~
- Bond to wear a white dinner jacket again, whatever in Casino or not... :D (maybe not with Craig)
However, at the heart of the next film and films for the future, I'd love to have the emotional Bond that was really shown in Skyfall. We have seen some of it before with Craig and others but not to this degree: The idea that Bond is having to watch the world burn around him is something that made Skyfall so powerful in my opinion. I found that he was more of a hero than ever before in SF. We even saw a reference to his childhood. I want more of this, a Bond that can be matched and effected by the evil around him.
I'd also like to see Michael Shannon or Phillip Seymour Hoffman as a villain.
Elvis was at least slightly memorable even though he didn't do anything, because of his haircut. I don't even think he spoke a word throughout the movie, maybe I'm wring.
2) Bond in bed at the end with the main Bond girl
3) same team with Mendes, in general, especially Deakins - by God don't let us lose him! He is my new idol.
4) the main Bond theme throughout the film in subtle ways, appropriately used
5) another villain as strong as Bardem's Silva (this is a wish list, right?)
6) Tanner (I like him more and more)
7) Wright's Felix Leiter
8) further development of Q
9) enough interplay with Moneypenny (not too short, please, I like her and Craig together)
Oh goodness, that's enough for going on.
I beg to God they don't continue that water plot. There isn't anywhere else to go from it, and it is an insanely uninteresting plot for a Bond film. The way I see it, the villain's scheme for a Bond film should be something that would frighten most people if it happened in the real world. I'm sure many people particularly in North America and Europe wouldn't give a damn if some shady environmentalist was screwing the Bolivan people on their water bill. There needs to be more at stake for a Bond film to really work.
Very good point. I could see what they were trying to do with QoS but if you're going to tackle something as subtle as the manipulation of natural resources, you have to put it front and centre and make it the focus of the whole story. As it happens it's essentially a McGuffin. If they wanted the focus to be revenge they should have had ditched it and had Bond relentlessly pursuing a number of villains where the focus is shifted to the Quantum hierarchy and the characters within, rather than including their specific ventures.
The water plot is something what wil not be big i think and wil turn to the background later on, but Quantum play with/used to get more power and show there ''real'' face.
Well the water thing is gone. We won't be seeing that again.
Yeah. She's proved that she is capable with weapons (RED), and she's still not old enough to not being able to actually pull it off still. It would certainly be a twist on the old formula.
The trick, get Kate Middleton to do it :P
But she probably won't be pregnant for the two years so I guess it wouldn't work. Because other than that I'm sure they could pull it off.
:|
- Alberto Iglesias, composer
- Roger Deakins, cinematographer
- Simple gadgets
- A tough, down-to-business M (seemed like Fiennes will be like this, though)
- More dangerous creatures
A comeback to a wilder, more adventurous plot would be happier to me. (Good God I miss Sir Roger Moore ! :) )
The twist? He doesn't have a physical deformity. He wears the mask to hide his appearance and identity, and so he can be replaced by someone else if he has to be. He even says to Bond "What were you expecting, Mr Bond? Some sort of deformity? Thankfully not!"
It'd be a nice spin on things, and could make for a creepy, in the 'shadows' villain.
It's a good idea but they'd have to get the mask right. Can't be too superheroey.
This was already used in Casino Royale (2006) except spoken by Mathis.
Yea, I was thinking something white. Like this:
Yeah, I can see it. Someone like this.
