"I hope you don't snore Q" in LTK.
The bit with Wades tattoo in Goldeneye.
The old couple on the train platform in Skyfall.
Tanner slagging M off in Goldeneye, "evil queen of numbers", etc, then she shows up behind him.
"M" "Bitch" In Skyfall.
The wheelchair bit in Die Another Day.
Bond knocking the kid into the river in TMWTGG.
The police getting drenched in the TWINE PTS (got a big cheer when I went to see it).
Kincade calling Bond a jumped up little sh*t in Skyfall.
Bond bowing then kicking the guy in the balls in TMWTGG. That's one of my favourite Moore moments.
In TLD, there's "why couldn't you learn the violin?!", and then "I'm glad I told you to bring that cello"
You SEE? Those little moments of absurdity is what sets the Bond movies apart from Smiley, Bourne, Ryan, etc. Other movies have 'borrowed' from Bond, but nobody does it better!
Q: I think he's attempting re-entry sir"
In SF when Bond is
- Dog taking a piss in TB. I know: vulgar, but it's such a funny background event...
- "One of the two smells like a tart's handkerchief... I'm afraid it's me. Sorry, ol' boy."
- Brosnan's reaction when he hears the voice of his BMW on TND: "Hey, I know her!"
- "I'm Mickey Mouse"
A couple of physical actions like Moore taking the umbrella to "help" Sir Godfrey in AVTAK and Brosnan looking away from Dr Kaufman in TND despite the latter's gun being trained on him also make me laugh.
Police: Is he?
Stacey: Are you?
Bond (dead serious): Yes.
The funniest 'Bond, James Bond' ever.
I still maintain that the most naturally funny line was in GE:
"She always did enjoy a good squeeze."
But not that kind of squeeze!
Really though, the best kind of humour in Bond is the witty dialogue. Slapstick doesn't work most of the time. In TSWLM no one really laughs when Jaws drops the big stone on his feet, but everyone laughs at the 'keeping the British end up' line.
Casino Royale _ 'How was your lamb?'
- 'Skewered, one sympathises.'
Skyfall - the look on Bond's face as his DB5 explodes.
Skyfall - Bond pointing to the Komodo Dragon
And his eyebrows ...
And I don't mean it in a bad way. It's why I love that interpretation of Bond the most. :D
"I think they were on their way to a funeral"
"I didn't know there was a pool down there"
And the gag when Bond is in the gorilla costume and is checking the time. It is silly but it always makes me laugh.
Funniest line in SF.
Wint and Kidd always make me laugh as well.
"He had a lot of guts!"
Which is so contrary to the book, where Bond feels sickened and disgusted by witnessing that.
The thing that ruins that line for me is the terrible dubbing.
Milton Krest saying "I don't like it, he can finger me." Something about that just gets a laugh out of me. He's angry, upset, nervous, but still a bit humorous.
