    That Bond manga looks most fascinating. I remember seeing that middle Bond image used by a member here on our community, but I can't remember who it was. Now I know where the image comes from, so thanks for that @oo7!

    That would be me! anyhow i would love to get my hands on Takao Saito's james bond manga its nearly impossible to find it...the golgo 13 character came about after he wrote the james bond manga in 1964.its easy to see were the influence's for golgo were drawn from.

    Another Saito fan here. It would be cool to find at least some RAWs. As an avid otaku, I have to say that I read the novels trying to imagine the aestethics of this manga and Saito's general style.

    One little known fact is that the adaptation was written by the late, great, Peter O'donnell who went on to out-Bond 007 with his fabulous Modesty Blaise series!

    Does anyone have scanned versions of Minute of Midnight and Light of My Death? They are only the ones I don't appear to have in my collection, besides A Silent Armageddon, but then again, that's an incomplete one.

    Hello fellow Bond fans. I don't know if there's been a lot of discussion about the Chilean Bond comics on this site, but it's a fun and nostalgic (albeit crude) series of comics published by Zig Zag in the late 1960's. I believe they acquired a license to publish these things back then based on the novels, but the character of 007 is so obviously drawn to look like Connery that I believe that the only reason they weren't sued by EON is that they were only published in South America, and never in English. They handled the series in an interesting way, by serializing the novels over many issues and mixing it in with original material. They covered the novel Goldfinger over five issues, #10 to #14. I've taken the liberty of translating them to English and posting them for all our pleasure, to bide the time until SPECTRE comes out.
    Here's the first 2 issues, unfortunately spread out over 7 links.
    If there's any interest, I'll post the remaining 3 issues in the story arc.

    By the way... As I've been doing a Bond comic book marathon, I've come to conclusion to rate them from my most to least favourite. Is there anyone who would be committed to it? However, I exclude Marvel's publication of For Your Eyes Only and Octopussy since I haven't got them nor read them.

    @mcdonbb, my good friend, I think you need an invitation into this. :D

    So, here goes my list.

    1-Serpent's Tooth
    2-Permission To Die
    3-Doctor No
    4-A Silent Armageddon*
    5-Licence To Kill
    6-Light of My Death
    7-The Quasimodo Gambit
    8-Minute of Midnight
    9-GoldenEye**
    10-VARGR
    11-Shattered Helix

    *- Despite being incomplete, the storytelling plus the artwork is just fascinating I could rank it as high. I wish one day we'd get it issued into full.

    **-Only one issue is released, while being cartoony, I like it enough to put it on a rank above VARGR and Shattered Helix. I just wish we'd get it issued in its complete form, one day. The disadvantage is that Topps Comics (who published the first issue) was defunct in 1998, two years after they cancelled the adaptation.

    A funny story: I sent my little brother, who was around 11 or 12 years old at the time, to our local comic shop buy an issue of Permission to Die. So he went in and asked the comic book guy at the cash register, "Do you have Permission to Die?"
    The guy stared at him and said "What the fuck are you talking about?"
    "It's a comic."
    "Oh!" he said. After a brief search, he reported it wasn't in stock.

    Well, these are all the Bond comic books that I've listed, but if we're talking about the comic strips that are collected by Titan Books in Omnibuses, well that's a different thing. :D

    By the way, as I've said, perhaps in a few days, Dynamite might make an announcement about their next Bond comic book, or perhaps next week. I have the feeling it will be the comic adaptation of Fleming's novel Casino Royale, alongside its writer and artist, and perhaps a cover art, too. In the same article when a discussion was made with Ellis and senior editor Joseph Rybandt about VARGR, the latter did say they were working on the aforementioned adaptation.

    RIVER OF DEATH by Lawrence and Horak was my first encounter with Bond in the early 70s. It s a great one.
