I will have another go...only Blofeld (deli edition) is un-named in the movie. We assume it's Blofeld but he's never mentioned by name.

All the other actors have appeared in the tv show, The Avengers?

Great, @Benny ! That's the answer. In fact they were even all in the fourth production block (first half of the Emma Peel era, still in black & white). Your turn!

Thanks very much. I could also make a lot of connections to The Saint with Roger Moore, and Doctor Who.

Okay, what connects The Spy Who Loved Me and Goldeneye?
It has something to do with the people in front of the camera.

Is it Michael Billington and Sean Bean both playing Russian agents who were also screen tested for Bond?

    And we have a winner!
Correct @Thunderfinger both Michael Billington and Sean Bean tested for the Bond role. But ended up playing villainous roles instead.
As far as I’m aware, the only actors who tested for Bond, who also appeared in a Bond film.
Either way. Over to you @Thunderfinger

    All right, thanks.

Bond going to Scotland and meeting the old caretaker of his family estate in SF, is based on a draft for the prequel Maibaum and Wilson had planned as Bond 15. There he also goes to Scotland, but it isn t the caretaker he meets there. Anyone who knows who he meets ?

Well done @Thunderfinger wouldn’t have got that. However I remember the prequel script from reading Helfenstein’s The Making of The Living Daylights. I had to double check but it’s his grandfather. However if I was Maibaum I would have gone with @goldenswissroyale’s suggestion of Aunt Charmian.

Yes, correct. Over to you, @Max_The_Parrot . Wasn t it both his grandparents?

Agree that it should have been his aunt instead.

Thanks @Thunderfinger and @goldenswissroyale - just had a quick scan through again and can only find mention of grandfather but I could be missing it. Must read the whole thing again soon, really enjoyed it. For anyone that’s not read the book well worth picking up if you’re a fan of the film.

I'm pretty sure that I've read this somewhere in a book. ...Trina Parks as Thumper?
