How many times have you seen your most watched bond film?

    I think if I were to try and quote the script of GE off the top of my head (word-for-word) even the longer term Bond fans would be shocked - seriously. I'm not saying its the best but that film is in my blood and I can't get rid of it :-S

    Any hardcore Bond fan who also grew up watching this film over and over will know the feeling.

    The pre-Moore ones are the ones I've seen the most...they would play a Bond film on TV every couple of months when I was around 13-14 so I saw the first few over and over (although they played some more than others). I couldn't get through a Moore film at that age so I imprinted quite heavily on Connery and Lazenby.

    Between TV, videotape, and rep theatre I've seen GF the most, probably about 24 times. The next one down - probably FRWL, TB, or OHMSS - would probably be about 8 or 10 times. I feel like I'm letting Her Majesty down with my pathetically small numbers compared to everyone else!

    As you say Bain , I can quote my top bond film almost word for word, I used to walk around school saying "get the girl out!" as if it used to fit into everyday life haha
    Oh how I love CR , I must of watched it about 35 times and that's alot for me as I have a Girlfriend

    I find it hard to sit through the same film in its entirety over and over so usually I play my favourite scenes

    For example, I've watched the TND car chase many many times, and the QOS opening chase (I can almost memorise the soundtrack including the cars and gunfire)

    No idea but it's maybe near 50 times, that sounds an awful lot but is probably very accurate.

    Goldeneye, like 6 or 7 times.
    and the others, like 5 or less.

    After that it should be the Roger Moore movies. At the times of Video releases and my first dvd experience i fall a sleep with with all moost every Bond movie of the Connery til Dalton era. As a kind of self defence i haven't watch any other Bond movie til DAD in years since CR/QOS and in specialy those 3. Or only partly. Fot the same reasen i refuse now to see QOS. Since years last 2 weeks i re-watch some documentry's and watch a couple of minutes of some of those Bond movies. But that happend if you be a Bond fan for 16 years (almoost) and turn 32 years old this year.

    I must have seen FRWL the most as it's my fave. Realistically, I'd say I've seen it around 30 times since discovering Bond in 1994. Then TSWLM at 20+ viewings. I've seen OHMSS the least, at maybe 3 or 4 times ever (don't hit me!). I never watch any Bond film more than twice a year- that way I can discover something new every time I watch them. However, this year's an exception for obvious reasons. Traditionally, I'll watch them all in a row a week or two before a new film hits the big screen. Can't wait for November!

    I've lost count but for me it would have to be OHMSS. I sat thru two showings when it was initially released at XMAS in 1969 and I have seen it on TV once and on the big screen 4 other times. I bought the VHS in the mid nineties and have viewed that many times with several girlfriends and I got a copy on DVD which I can't tell how many times I have watched it. I used to do the Christmas watching every year from 2000-2007.
    2nd would have to be GF...

    My least viewed films: MR, TMWTGG, TSWLM, All of Brosnan's as well as CR and QoS

    My most watched films are FRWL and DAF. I would say I probably have watch each film around 35 times give or take a few viewings.

    I've seriously seen all the Bond films at least 200 times each, if not more! OHMSS I've seen the most because it's my favorite. Goldeneye I saw at least 10 times in the theater, and even went so far as to see it at the drive-in, in a theater in Germany dubbed in German, and Switzerland in english w/ french and german subs. I've seen OHMSS in the theater in NJ for a special screening and at the Film Forum in NY (as part of a retrospective). When I was interning at New York's Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in the film archive's department, I was given two personal screenings in their theater of 2 movies of my choice from their entire film inventory. To their amazement and shock I chose OHMSS out of all their rarities. I was told to write a condition report on the quality of their print. Though they were a little bummed I chose that film, they were even more bummed when I informed them that their copy was butchered by 20 minutes!!! I know the film so well, I could tell them every missing scene! I really love that film!

    I haven't counted but it has to be Dr.NO, Goldfinger or From Russia With Love.

    Most watched non-Bond film - easy as they are always on the box; The Great Escape and Where Eagles Dare. Two cracking films the latter is my fav and I love the story that Eastwood looked through the script and put a line through all his lines and said give me about 100 words 'cause that's all I need.

    My most watched film is probably Casino Royale/Quantum of Solace (I always watch them together, and I was lucky enough not to get CR on DVD until after QOS came out), and they have to clock in at 20-25 times (my least watched is Goldfinger, at 5 times).

    With the exception of maybe DAD and TWINE I've seen them all many times. Too many to count. But I have to admit it's been good few years since I've seen Thunderball. I'll have to revisit it.

    Yes I don't think that QOS is that bad, it had the shaky camera, but still quite good. I think that the major problem is that it had a great antecesor CR one of the best films of the series, and when compared to that one it looks as if it was worse than it really is...

    @Jarrod :it is good to meet a kindred spirit, someone who loves OHMSS as much as I do. I do hate the lack of respect the film gets and it is not released on blu ray as quickly as the others. It has achieved a cult status (the only Bond film to do so)
    Many experts agree now that it is "one of the best". I've seen it in art houses following our film festival a couple of years ago and sad to say it has not been "remastered" yet. but I can hardly wait to see it remastered. the scenes on the snow slopes is great and should be shown more regularly.

    I agree. For me watching a Bond film is an event; like opening a fine bottle of wine. I save it for special occassions so as not diminish my enjoyment. The experience has to be just right: on a good screen (preferably a cinema screen), the right lighting, preferably with a drink in hand, and to be able to give it my complete undivided attention.

    FRWL probably for me, maybe about 15-20. And consequently, that's the one I've grown most tired of, go figure.

    And then skip to where I want to be!!! :-B

    I'd guess not. The reason being is, it doesn't take long to watch, is always good fun and gets you in the mood.

    I have been watching Bond films as far back as the early 80's so I can not say for sure how many times I have watched certains films. The films I keep going back to are Casino Royale and Goldeneye with a dash of Licence to kill, Live and let die, with a twist of On her Maj, shaken with From Russia

    I watch FRWL and GF whenever they're on tv, which is quite often. And I've been viewing them on tv since the mid '70s, so you do the math! As I mentioned in another thread, I almost never see OHMSS on television, it's like they want people to forget about that movie, which is a shame. I borrowed it from the library recently, it was the second time I saw it (first time December 1969)!
