Exactly. There is a tipping point with these things. Once we reach that it'll snowball. We're some way off hitting high gear though.
Completely off topic, but where is that? I have been wanting to visit Withby for a long time because of its association with Dracula, and there's nothing better than fish and chips in town or city by the sea.
Yes it's on the North East coast, just up from Scarborough. I believe the first goth festival of the year was end of April. The next being Halloween, naturally.
The fish and chips are out of this world. And as you say, nothing beats eating them by the coast.
And I am sorely disappointed about Tobias Menzies as Villiers. The man is so completely plain. I expect M's assistant to have far more presence. Charismatic, intense, with some leadership qualities too. I saw none of that.
Oh cool, I need to visit it at around this time of year then. I am taking holidays in August and going to Devon, with a copy of The Hound of the Baskervilles. I intend to enjoy a couple of fish and chips shops there. Next year, maybe it will be Whitby.
:-bd
Yes, jobo, we are on fish and chips at the moment as Bond news is currently a dried prune. :)
It was so damn good, I could've had another. ;-)
:)) =D>
Boy that looks good. But is that ketchup I see? Blasphemy! I drown mine in malt vinegar.
Okay, this is waaaayyyyy off topic. I suggest we create another thread about places to see in the UK.
I only like mine with lots or salt and vinegar.
Let nobody say that your expectations are even a tad unreasonable.
I quite agree. This will change soon I hope, otherwise why have a forum at all? Just my opinion, of course.
Captain Exaggeration wants his cape back.
In the meantime, John Logan is busy working on the script when he's not busy on working on the Last Ship (Logan is at the far right on the photo taken yesterday).
In the Last Ship digital press kit, he's said to be in the process of writing the new James Bond.
If you are going to Dartmoor, I suggest you try something else other than fish and chips. South Devon has become a bit of foody mecca. The Riverford Field restaurant near Buckfastleigh is very good.

This, on the other hand, is a Bond-related thread.
To my eyes, and compared with his appearance in QOS, Tanner does look a bit gay in SF. I think it´s mainly his eyes, which look as if they have some makeup, or maybe the eyelashes or brows are done somehow. I don´t mean that in a negative way, it´s just the impression I get. I´m baffled that anyone´s baffled upon hearing that.
I never said it would be a problem seeing Bond drinking with a gay man. But I would expect Bond to rather spend his evenings with some lady. As I wrote in my post, SF shows Bond and Tanner to be closely related and respecting one another, but IMO more in a professional way than in a manner of private friendship.
Between QoS and SF he really got into the Pet Shop Boys, that might explain it.
I'm still laughing ...
The Bond 24 countdown reads 510 days until release in the UK. We have 5 months until the press conference, where everything is confirmed and filming will almost immediately begin. So June is still pretty far out for anything major to be revealed.
Also, All of Logan and Mendes' current projects have had their premieres, so we likely wont be having too many more interview opportunities for them to drop hints. The producers also have what appears to be nothing lined up to open opportunities for them to comment. It seems every one from here on is completely focused on Bond 24, which I'd argue is only a good thing.
I think we'll only maybe get a few casting rumors, where the actors or actresses themselves come forward and say they want to be in the film or have been approached. And we may (I think it is doubtful) get a few location rumors.
Stuff like the villain, the title, the major locations, the 'British actress', and even the more minor stuff will all be kept tightly wrapped up. Remember, none of us thought some nobody-French-woman named Berenice Marlohe was actually in the film until she walked up and sat next to Craig and Dench at the press conference.
Keep your eyes peeled.
Location info I think is going to be the big thing this summer. crews need to get permits and scout locations months in advance....
Which I would love it if at least 3 of these locations were used in Bond 24
Greece
South Africa
New York
Ireland
France
Spain
One can hope.
