TB is one of my least favourite title songs as well.

I don't think Adele will return. If nothing else, Mendes will want to have someone different. He doesn't want to remake SF.

I hope so, another SF would put me off this franchise seriously.

I love the TB song. I'm probably reading too much into it, but Bassey came back with the same director she had worked for previously. Maybe we can expect the same?

    I wouldn't mind Adele's return for Bond 27 or 28, but I would for Bond 24. She's just done a Bond theme.

I would love to see Cornell perform another Bond song, possibly for Craig's last movie.

Always thought it shame that Portishead didn't do one in the 90s. Seemed an obvious choice. To me, any way.

Agreed. Don't screw with a good thing. "Skyfall" was easily the best title track since "Goldeneye" and quite possibly the best since "Diamonds Are Forever." And when you compare "Skyfall" to "Another Way to Die," well the jump in quality can only be measured in parsecs. If you're smart you don't throw that away just for the sake of doing something different.

I.don't know what risk we would be running by having Adele for Bond 24. That the song is not as good? That would be the case for every artist.

It could be half as good and still blow 1/3 of the canon out of the water, so to speak.

    I like your thinking here.

I think so too. And what is the objection to Adele returning? So far it seems to be that people don't want the same artist twice in a row.

I didn't like Skyfall and I prefer a return to rock and roll.

I think Mendes is going all out for classic Bond, so if he has any input, I would expect the classic powerful bombastic Bond sound, possibly by a male singer for a change.
Coldplay's Chris Martin comes to mind, while Michael Buble, although perfect for a Bond song, is not really a big crowd-puller.

*shudders* no Coldplay of any sort, please, or I'll have to plug my ears when the PTS ends.

@Risico007, I couldn't imagine a Rush theme song for a Bond film. It would be TOO fantastic and mind-blowing.

I suppose you'd rather drink Dom Perignon '53 above the temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit ;)

Let London Grammar have a crack at it.

It is indeed my opinion, but I think you left out Live And Let Die.

I think she could do a great job, given the right song. We need some great lyrics and a cracking tune and then she can belt it out.

Chris Martin better stay far away from Bond.

I still pray that Radiohead get a crack one day, the kind of intense feel you get in There There or Karma Police would be great channelled into a title tune.

Although someone like The Arctic Monkeys is more likely, AM is a stonking album and Turner could really pull off a great theme.

I actually prefer B. J. Arnaud's "Live and Let Die" to Paul's, and I'm a pretty big fan of McCartney. I sure wish I could get my hands on a recording of Arnaud's version.

That's if you consider Paul's as simply a 'version' of the song rather than an original, self penned song. ;-)

Hear, hear. Amber Heard or Sofie Vergara would suffice ;-)

Rory Kinnear has been confirmed as a cast member for the BBC miniseries adaptation of JK Rowling's "The Casual Vacancy". Very exciting.
