Why are you replying to an already banned troll? It's done. Let the banned stay buried and let's not have their presence or lack thereof lingering, stinking up the place.

MI6-HQ and it's Twitter-page are British. European timezone. So indeed the next day in Europe.

By the way, I just see now that @StoneShi is banned. Still the first bullocks-message came from MI6-twitter-page. Anyway, let's forget about it yes.

I don't think we can start calling out MI6. They said it was a long time coming, which theoretically it probably was, as the deal will have taken some time to be finalised. It's good news. B24 is still to come, it's happening, patience.

Yes, finding it was comic book news was just ... okay. But disappointing. Naturally most of us would think it would concern Bond 24. But moving on ...

I guess now we shall not have any official word until the actual press conference, which seems near and yet so far.

I still can't believe we haven't had a seemingly legitimate, or even decent rumor about who the main British actress is. Even if she was signed and locked from the get go, they must have locked her agent in Fort Knox to keep the news from 'slipping'.

Indeed, I'm willing to bet she was signed on months ago and everybody has managed to keep it quiet. Probably someone known personally to the main participants (Mendes or EON) I'm guessing.

Another similarity between Christopher Nolan and Sam Mendes: Complete utter secrecy until the bitter end.......for marketing purposes.....to let the fans go crazy on the Internet.....creating free viral marketing for EON :-P. Aaawh well, first of all I'm looking forward to see "Interstellar" and the cinematography from Hoyte van Hoytema. In any case, I think thát will be thé movie of 2014.....and it will easily pass the 1 Billion Dollar mark. I'm pretty certain however, that in 2015 also "Bond 24" will easily pass the 850 Million Dollar mark.

Haha! @Gustav you've dropped your estimated BO figures for Bond 24.

I hope it does as well as SF did. Maybe even better. With SF it was the 50th anniversary so that helped a lot in the marketing to attract the viewers. But, let's hope B24 does well

I think there were more factors that contributed to its Thunderball-esque dramatic success:

--> As you mentioned indeed, the 50th anniversary.
--> A highly popular Bond theme from Adele. Her name alone did so much more to Bond than, let's say Chris Cornell or Garbage.
--> A cast that seemed more well-known, more popular, than previous Bond casts. Javier Bardem is a popular, very recent Oscar-winning, actor.
--> A similarly big crew, with many Oscar-heavy-weights: Sam Mendes, Roger Deakins, Thomas Newman, etc....
--> A cameo from Bond during the 2012 Summer Olympics Opening, together with HM The Queen.

--> And the entire marketing machine that included several key dates:
    > Opening Summer Olympics on July 27th
    > Premiere documentary "Everything Or Nothing" on October 3rd
    > Premiere of "Skyfall" the theme song on October 5th
    > One hell of a Gala Premiere of the actual film "Skyfall" in London

So all of the above helped "Skyfall" to become very VERY succesful. Will Bond 24 be as succesful as "Skyfall"? Time will tell. Contracting Hoyte van Hoytema gives away that EON wants to follow the path that "Skyfall" laid out.

I think Bond 24 will still profit from the succes of its predecessor. Depending on the actual marketing/promotion machine. And to start with, the actual cast, to be presented on December 6th, can have an influence on that.

But right now I'd say it'll earn slightly less than "Skyfall".

Bond 24 will be big and do huge numbers. We have returning known factors that were commercially instrumental and having significant appeal and resonance with general audiences but without the peripheral hype of the landmark anniversary, the Olympics and the shock value of losing Dench; I'm confident that Bond 24 will still do similar numbers, perhaps with superficial differences and I say this because 1) it's Bond 2) Craig is increasingly popular amongst the general audience 3) The critical star power of certain cast members 4) it's the followup to the memorable impact fulfilling SF. 5) Mendes is returning as director 6) Mendes isn't looking to make SF2 and is conscious of the mistakes made on SF and lastly, access to new and massive markets e.g. China.
If Bond can deliver in dwarfing the subpar action of SF, the Chinese (a ridiculously huge market) flock in droves to see this and will resonate better with them than SF did. In fact, there's a good chance Bond 25 can outperform SF but it's too early to tell obviously.

...yeah and in regards to action let's recall they hired that fight coordinator y'all mentioned earlier in the posts too. One other big thing that helped SF was that audiences took it. Well reviewed and much better word of mouth. Hoping that's repeated here.

Really wish I hadn't read that the house gets destroyed and that all that takes up 25 minutes of screen time. TMI IMHO ..for me at least. Btw how do they knowtthat? They swiped 5 pages of script? Jk kinda but seriously how do we know that?

I have no doubt that Bond 24 will be successful. Skyfall did incredibly well, thus it won't be easy to do as good as Skyfall, but Bond 24 certainly will stand tall.

25 minutes of screen time? Really?

Because we also read that Craig will only be in Austria for three days! Three days. About the same amount of time it took to shoot those 30 seconds of him resurfacing in Turkey in SF, lying on a bed with a woman, walking on the beach, and watching the news in the beach bar. Maybe most of those "25 minutes" are interior shots, filmed at Pinewood.

In any case, if true, then 25 minutes are too long for the PTS. So we could assume that the plane crash will not be part of the PTS.

The palace interior was also used for "M:I 3" (doubling for the Vatican) and "Angels & Demons" (also doubling for the Vatican). Sadly, not even a glimp of the beautiful palace exteriors was used in those two films

I'm liking the idea of a Bond film that has Italy as a main location. Stunning country. Probably my favourite in Europe.

Is that the only reason ;-)? Because it's your favourite country ;-)? I expected a slightly....more elaborated argument from you.

Wow, wunderful big quality pictures on our beloved site: http://www.mi6-hq.com/sections/articles/bond-24-report-20141008-obertilliach-set-photos?t=&s=&id=03770

The first one for me is pretty clear. Looking at the top of the house/villa that is being constructed (the wood parts within the balcony), it looks more and more like typical Alpine/Austrian architecture is being applied :-). It'll blend perfectly with the rest of the Obertilliach houses.

Now if this entire house will be completely destroyed a la "Skyfall lodge"? Or a la "Piz Gloria lair"? Then I don't think Austria will feature in the PTS. Especially given the news that Obertilliach will feature for about 25 min's in the movie. And then we haven't even considered other possible locations that will be used (Sölden, Rettenbachferner glacier, Lienz).

In the sense of your favouritism? Just curious @RC7
