Because Switzerland is probably more recognized around the world and is more luxurious.
Switzerland is just more expensive. My son lives in Zürich and you can only survive there, because the income is much higher.
It sounds more like there is little space to park the production vans and to park a helicopter (for transport or for camerawork). It also does not sound as if they plan to include Herrn Mateschitz' (a.k.a. Red Bull/Formula One) cabin as a film set.
Sorry, but that's bullshit. I'am Austrian, the difference between the two countries are marginal
Of course an Austrian would say that. :) Don't get me wrong, Austria is among the most developed counties on Earth but the difference betwen them is more than marginal. Just look at this chart: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_Human_Development_Index
Even if the development and standard of living in these two countries were the same they would still be very different as Austria is pretty homogeneous unlike Switzerland with its French and Italian speaking regions.
Anyway, all I was saying a couple of posts ago that even if we can rule out Norway appearing in the story, we still can not be sure that the scenes they will be shooting in Austria will appear as Austria in the movie as Austria can easily be a stand in for other Alpine countries.
Yeah baby! My country storms the chart at no# 4 :D. Although Netherlands is as flat as a pancake, thus not suitable for a Bond film (Hmm, perhaps a thorough research at the largest harbor/port of Europe: Rotterdam).
You say that as if the Bond franchise was some kind of mountain climbing movie series. Netherlands is more than suitable for a Bond film!
See DAF.
Yes, a brutal brawl between these two in the Coliseum would be epic. thumbs up!
I don't think so. QoS Is packed with beautiful locations, it is only Forsters rushed idea of the film, that makes it feel otherwise (to some, because I have to say, that I find its sceneries beautiful to look at).
Been done twice already :
-Bruce Lee vs Norris
-Bruce Le vs Wang Jang Lee
:D
I'm sure it has been; but what percentage of the audience will be sitting there going " Hey! Bruce Lee's already done that! Twice!" ;)
:D
So consider it done. Mendes could never resist copying someone else and call it a homage.
From there on something happens and either the villain or a certain "lead" escapes and Bond starts pursuing him, ending up in his new Aston Martin. So then the car chase kicks in.
But it's also possible that the Roman Colosseum will have a similar use as Gizeh in TSWLM, so that indeed an intense fighting scene could take place.
From Phil Whitehead (@phil1Whitehead)
