Tomorrow though, we could face quite a crowded press conference/photo shoot,
if all these actors appear:
--> Christoph Waltz
--> Monica Bellucci
--> Dave Bautista
--> Lea Séydoux
--> Andrew Scott
And then the "MI6-characters":
--> Daniel Craig
--> Ralph Fiennes
--> Naomie Harris
--> Ben Whishaw
And crew/producers:
--> Sam Mendes
--> Michael G. Wilson
--> Barbara Broccoli
So I guess only these people will appear tomorrow:
--> Daniel Craig (always)
--> Christoph Waltz (I can't believe Waltz will not show up)
--> Monica Bellucci (Bond woman with largest screen time?)
--> Dave Bautista (the henchman for which EON sent out a "loud" casting call)
--> Lea Séydoux (confirmed by Sony, smaller screen time?)
--> Andrew Scott (not sure about this, is this is a rumour so far)
--> Ralph Fiennes (as "M" has appeared at the press conference ever since "Casino Royale")
--> Sam Mendes (always)
--> Michael G. Wilson (always)
--> Barbara Broccoli (always)
So that means we could see like 10 "famous" people at the press shoot. Two more than during the Skyfall press conference back in 2011. But even more so........it'll be incredibly hard to guess a clearly defined story/plot with all these people present. I guess there will be even more guessing after the press conference :-O. Perhaps way more than after the Skyfall-press shoot in 2011!
I thing Bamigboye's tweet is pretty much a confirmation but we will find out tomorrow. As for Bellucci being too old: it depends on her role in the movie. Imagine we are in 1994 and we are reading rumours of 60 year old Judi Dench being cast in a major role in the new James Bond film. Yikes!
I really think Monica Bellucci must have had some incredibly convincing auditions for quite a large role. I think she will play quite a complex character, especially since she's a slightly older, experienced actress. Some possibilities:
--> She plays a noble character. Perhaps a countess, who is a mistress, supporting the villain at first, and who later ends up being an ally to 007. (a "good" person)
--> She plays an Elektra King-esque businesswoman. She starts of very intrigueing, but later switches to the bad side. (a "bad" person)
--> She plays a British MI6-operative or British friend from 007, who is an ally to Bond. Like Sylvia Trench or Mary Goodnight. Or perhaps even the head of Station "I", Italy. (a "good" person)
--> She plays a full-blown Rosa Klebb-esque, Irma Bunt-esque henchwoman. Cooperating with and supporting henchman Dave Bautista (Klebb vs. Grant) (a "bad" person)
What I don't think she will play:
--> An ordinary Bond-girl, bedding Bond in the end.
Producers, Sam Mendes, Daniel Craig, John Logan, 1 or 2 Bondgirls, male actor and if it be David Arnold mabey the composer. How amazing it be to see him and Shirley Bassey at the table. I prefer to see that above knowing title yet. I can wait til the title til July if needed.
All I am saying is that we have no idea at this point about Bellucci's role in the movie. She may play the main villain for all we know.
How about a full-blown female main villain? Something we have never seen before...
It would be something if Bond 24 tops both CR and SF. Imagine that :-O. Ratings of 8.7 or more on that "stupid" IMDB.
Frankly right now i am more concerned on how i am going to get to sleep tonight with all this happening tomorrow?!!! @-)
The only movie ratings I care about are the ratings on Metacritic. The Bond films rated on that site:
GE - 65
TND - 56
TWINE - 59
DAD - 56
CR - 81
QOS - 58
SF - 81
Actually me too ;-). Why do SF and CR have exactly the same ratings ;-)?
Seeing as those are my two favorite Bond films, it would be quite incredible. Will be happy to at least hear the title soon.
I am probably going to do the same thing
I honestly don't know the title and I want it to stay that way till tomorrow morning
I think @Sandy could be right. :) Though I think I remember the British Bond girl not having a past with Bond. But they may have switched or totally changed the roles. Yes, I think it likely the roles were changed a bit during script revisions but EON did not update us, which is wise if they want things to be a surprise.
I would be VERY happy indeed for Monica to be in this Bond film, in any role whatsoever. A lovely, charismatic woman. Her character could be almost anything.
Agreed. I've always considered her to be one of the most beautiful actresses, and I'm 15 years younger than her. Here's how she looks now with little clothes on her:
I'm willing to bet that more people in the world know who Monica Bellucci is, more so than Waltz and Bautista. They may be more current, but not more famous among the general audience.
In my mind, Belucci is -- somehow -- more appropriately "James Bondian" than Cruz. Belucci radiates a subdued mystique. Her measured acting style is almost the inverse of Cruz's typical performances. Cruz "acts" while Belucci "reacts."
I was thinking that, myself. Also nice to see another Irish Bond fan on these boards!
Everything will be kept as is, true or not. The list is just to look back at what we knew when and how crazy or ridiculous everything else was.
