Two years ago, we wouldn't be mentioning such limits ;-). 650 to 700 Mil at maximum. It shows that Bond has become bigger.
Very true, but even without a crowded fall, I don't expect them to go north of 1 billion every time now.
It turns out that China didn't give yet Sony the money from SF they owe them (25% of the box office according to some). That means 15M$ in the middle of a larger problem involving all recent movies and all studios... For Iron Man III, that means 40M$ missing for Disney !
The Chinese are assholes [-(
It's the pronunciation of the word I like. I just keep saying it. 'Quarterdeck, Quarterdeck'
There is a fish & chip bar in Whitby in the North East of England called 'Quarterdeck'. I'll snap a photo next time I'm there :-)
I now have sex and during orgasms I scream "Quarterdeckkk!" :))
Well below a primary level of schooling, one surmises.
31. So sorry....I sometimes have a '4-year-old-boy'-moment :-B
You were having sex at 4?
Ah, you are Dutch though, correct?
Deakins was asked this question on his website and was a bit cagey in his response:
http://www.rogerdeakins.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2499
What was his response? I see nothing of the sort on the page linked.
Deakins' reply to the question about returning to Bond 24 and how fans were waiting to know the answer with bated breath was solely this:
"Funny expression that, 'bated breath."
Hence why I described his reply as "cagey."
However, if Deakins' schedule did not permit Bond 24, he likely would have replied "No" as he has done so before on those forums when fielding questions about his upcoming films.
So it is Bond 25 against Avatar 2 or 3. But Skyfall don't have any problem with The Hobbit part 1.
Oh, I didn't see that. Thanks for pointing it out.
The director's role on a play is weird and totally different from their role on films. In a play the director is heavily involved during the build-up ie casting, staging, costumes, rehearsals etc. When the actual play opens the directors job is essentially done. some directors leave the production at that point, others will occasionally drop in and out and see how it's going, whilst others will stay every night.
Mendes has said in the past that he often leaves his productions after they have opened. Film is after all a director's medium, stage is for the actors.
It's likely that now Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has opened, most of Mendes's energy is being focussed on King Lear. He'll likely be full-time on Bond from Jan 2014. I also wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't have actors in his sight already and he's just waiting till the script is in better shape before showing it to anyone.
