First rule of Hollywood - ask on public social media and you won't get it.

Paloma would've been really great but with that tweet, ain't happening.

Heard about Craig hurting himself on set; that really sucks.

At least he should be back soon - here's to a speedy recovery.

Wonder if they'll use that take? Several films have been enhanced by accidents on set making their way into the final films.
    For example:
"I'm walking here" from Midnight Cowboy - adlib from Hoffman after the taxi accidentally almost hit him.
When Viggo Mortensen kicks a helmet in Lord of the Rings and screams in frustration - he'd actually screamed in pain after breaking two toes.

and finally, apparently Bond doing the Andress out of the sea in Casino Royale was also a happy accident that worked. Word goes that when Bond rises from the sea, in those tight blue trunks, and causes many women's knees to buckle happened because Craig came upon a hidden sandbank.

    According to Craig
It was actually by accident, where we filmed, off the Bahamas, it's just one of those places where there is a sand shelf and the sand shelf happens to be three feet deep. Because the idea was, I was supposed to swim in and sort of float off, but I swim in and stand up. And it was just one of those things.
Craig said he realised almost immediately that it would be compared to the Andress moment.
It was going through my mind... as I did it, I went, 'Oh f***.' But I didn't realise the repercussions of it,I had no idea I would be haunted by it for the rest of my life.

    Right. Makes her look needy.
    She blew it.
But she may have known that, and instead was building ambition-cred with fans.

Glad she isn't likely getting but the time for artist I like getting the job has long passed.

Sorry but she's seriously irritating, what happened to interesting pop stars they are all so nice and boring?

I'm sure DC will be OK and back in the saddle in no time, you can't keep a good man down!

Roger just wrote the following on his Twitter...

Sorry to hear Daniel Craig has sprained his knee on set #Spectre. Being 007 is not without its hazards. I'm available to step in if needed.

    Get well soon, Daniel.
  • Useless related trivia of the day : DC's knee has already been twisted for a Bond movie : for the Komodo scenes in SF, they used CG to twist DC's knee.. (because he jumped on some green-screened object, while the CG Komodo is moving)

Reports are coming in from the German press that Léa had to cancel her red carpet appearance at Berlinale today :( due to last minute changes in the filming schedule. She was due to promote her new film Diary of a Chambermaid which was in competition. May have something to do with DC's knee injury. Of course filming always takes priority.

If it had been Léa who hurt her ankle I'd fly there to rub her knee. Although my wife wouldn't appreciate.

For such a paycheck, being called in for filming on such a short notice sounds like music to my ears :-P.

Benoît Jacquot (director of Diary of a Chambermaid) who was at the press conference in Berlin explained Léa's absence (watch from 7:00 mark)

He said that there were some mishaps/accidents during the filming of the new James Bond film over the last week which disrupted the shooting schedule. He said it involved the partner of the director and the director - but maybe this is 'lost in translation' moment? Anyway, I hope the injured parties are OK now and that filming goes smoothly.

The Daily Mail has also reported on this

Too bad about Seydoux being called away from Berlinale! Damn!
The Chambermaid is not pleased! There will be harsh words in her Diary for Eon. :-w

Chambermaid is getting a NA release too! Yey! More big-screen Seydoux! Maybe in ultra AVX or Imax too!

That image is nice enough to be in the actual film! Minus the camera of course.

Van Hoytema's cinematography for Interstellar was outstanding, so I have high hopes.
