If the title song will indeed recorded around october, I guess it won't be incorporated in the score, or perhaps we'll have just one single cue (like Komodo Dragon in Skyfall). Shame, I was really hoping for it. Let's hope Arnold will be back for Bond 25, so he'll provide the title song and thus will incorporate it into the score.

There's no guarantee of that. The disgraces that were DAD & AWTD were under Arnold's tenure & I don't recall any incorporation.

Having said, If this is true, it is indeed a shame. I was hoping the score would have elements of the title score, as done so well for so many years by Barry.

I understand DAD, but the unused Shirley Bassy song "No Good About Goodbye" was heavily Incorporated into the score.

@Walecs Can you point out to me which part of "Komodo Dragon" has the Skyfall theme in it? I've never been able to pick it up.

Ok, thanks, I stand corrected. I did not know that.

My understanding is the timing process these days is much more compressed and if the title song comes later as it seems to these days then the composer has far less opportunity to incorporate it. Like @Walecs, I was hoping they would get it right with timing............I still am, because it would be great if we got a quality score incorporating the title track - that's a Bond staple that's been lost lately.

It's right when Bond arrives at the casino.

Agreed on both points but........i think the title track decisions were taken well out of David Arnold's hands. If you listen to the QOS soundtrack there are multiple references to the track he did write and the producers ditched on him, the wonderful "no good about goodbye". If you listen to the QOS track talhamone and then find 'no good about goodbye' on youtube you will hear this. I went to see Mr Arnold in concert a few weeks ago and he discussed how important it was to have the theme tune linked throughout the score.... i think things would of been different in both these cases, if it wasn't for Sony executives....

Also, the awful "Another Way To Die" was incorporated into the score anyway, in the "Pursuit at Porte Au Prince" track.
Arnold said he didn't use Madonna's song because it was impossible to build a melody based on that theme. Can't blame him.

Mark my words, David Arnold will never score a Bond film ever again. Btw, why would his return guarantee the incorporation of the title song into the score? And why are people so sure Newman would never co-write a Bond title song? Don't foget that he (unlike Arnold) does have a Best Original Song Oscar nomination under his belt (for Wall-E).

I would love to be there, as I permanently live in London but am now on a 2 month business trip. Bad timing I guess.

Here is the full timetable of the shooting on the Thames, including todays date and the 14th of June:

On Westminster Bridge. Lots of Panalux trucks nearby behind County Hall. There is a Panavision truck and barriers put up on either side but the Bridge is still open for the moment. A lot of people around today.

There is still traffic on Westminster Bridge Road. There are some spotlights suspended from a crane on a floating platform that has been moored. 3 small gazebos have been set on on the pavement and side panels put up for privacy. No one is allowed on one side of the pavement on the bridge.
