Some remarks:
--> I love the orange-y filter/glue that is used by cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema. It makes the movie look both mysterious and warm. Very different from "Skyfall".
--> While staying loyal to the dramatic, darker, film-noir esque atmosphere of "Casino Royale" and "Skyfall", "SPECTRE" has most certainly more memorable action and fight sequences.
--> Ehh guys? I think Bond is bedding the most nr. of girls in one Bond film in "SPECTRE". I'm pretty certain it'll be a record for Daniel Craig :-).
--> Henchman Hinx is adamant at killing the failures within crime syndicate S.P.E.C.T.R.E. I just love how he 'destroys' a S.P.E.C.T.R.E.-members neck.
--> "SPECTRE" seems most certainly Craig's Bond film with the most amount of mystery injected in it. At this point I just STILL don't know what the actual villain's scheme is.
--> It oozes Terence Young-esque suaveness. Certain stills and images could be directly coming from one of the 1960's Bond films, FRWL, TB or OHMSS.
--> Expect a full official trailer based on the NBA-tv spot this week, which is perhaps slightly longer.
Yup, like I said. This was just the TV-spot. In line with my predictions I expect a full trailer this Friday perhaps. At first I already expected a 2nd trailer end of May. But Mid June is perfectly okay as well ;-). Thanks @Marketto007 for your rapid post with the trailer. So excited here :-P.
Let's see. I think my prediction so far was that the 2nd trailer would be full of....way more action. And that's obvious too. "SPECTRE" has more action, for sure, but by staying loyal to the dramatic film-noir-esque style of "Casino Royale" and "Skyfall".
Having seen all this footage, I can't help thinking that Sony/MGM/EON have a certified 1.2 Billion Dollar film in the making. Their marketing/promotion machine is so so much better than those from previous three Bond films. And, it's necessary too, as 2015 is an insanely crowded box office year.
You think the 2nd "SPECTRE"-trailer will be attached to the premiere of "Jurassic World" this weekend @Marketto007??
That was bloody fantastic! This! Wow! This looks like Bond with a capital B. Very classic looking. Tge elegance, the smoothness, the charm and tge way Bond seductively introduces himself. Ladies and gentlemen, the competition just got wiped out!
Lastly, the action looks intense and brutal. God bless you Olivier Schneider.
I agree with all of this. The only thing that could blemish SP is if they don't return the gb to the start of the movie and even then it'll be a superfluous blemish. That first pic you posted with Bond in front of the mirror...quintessential Bond material right there.
Craig appears to be even more seasoned in the role from the limited new footage they showed. He is definitely giving off more of the classic Bond vibes than in any of his prior films with his appearance, the girls, and the delivery. It seems a significant portion of Spectre will take place at night or in darkness, which gives it a much spookier feeling than we're accustom to experiencing in the series. If anything the golden yellow lights are a visual metaphor for a secret service that doesn't quite know what they are up against.
The blur effect is just horrible :-&
Not me. I firmly believe "SPECTRE" is some kind of origins story as well. Not about Bond, but about the main villain. So I can't see a closed ending on this new Bond film either. I'm starting to think EON wants Bond back to do a 5th film.
Or even a 25th film.
Let me put it like this: I simply WANT him to do a 5th and even a 6th! He's the Bond of this '2nd Golden Age of Bond' (the 1st Golden Age being the 1960's). If Bond quits after "SPECTRE", I'm gonna hang myself :-P.
Like with Skyfall and that Olympic Opening TV spot, DEFINITELY expecting a new trailer imminently.
There's no doubt they're teasing the first full trailer which i still think will be released end of this month / July when they have all the footage.
