I feel like Mendes probably had more restrictions placed on him during SF than he does now with SPECTRE. Given the chance I think he would have SF hit the 150 mark. So I get the impression that with SPECTRE he'll finally have that extra narrative space to work with. I don't think he'll pass up the chance, put it that way.
Yes, I'll be very pleased if they can give us a Bond of that size.
If anything SF could have been trimmed, not extended.
I don't think Mendes would agree with you there.
I agree. I think 3 hours is certainly achievable for a Bond film.
Aww thanks

Also looks like that's an October release date for the movie in the UK.
Yeah, Great news!! Earlier than I expected! And a pretty long trailer too. So, I guess it will be released next week or so??
We don't know when the next trailer is coming out?
I'm excited about this film and even more excited about the new Bond book 'Trigger Mortis'. Sounds like this movie will have a great story.
Could be a matter of days before we see it.
It was 9 days for the teaser and if they follow the same it should come out around/with Ant-Man. That would make sense. Marvel and Sony are working on the new Spider-man and that way they can place the Captain America: Civil War teaser with SPECTRE in October/November.
It's achievable for any film if the story necessitates it.
The running time should reflect the story being told.
No, it's 150 seconds. And it's the trailer, not the film itself.
Casino Royale was 144 minutes. I don't think another 6 minutes is out of the question. Especially since Mendes will have more creative control this time and he will be keen to put the extra narrative space to good use. I stand by my prediction of 150 minutes for SPECTRE.
Aaaaaarghhhh :P
That is kinda what I was wondering as well. It seems like something that will be great for IMAX but how it translates to home video is something we'll see in early 2016.
Wasn't Skyfall dark?
Is that the reason the fun and light hearted AMERICAN SNIPER became such a big hit just 6 months ago? Again, audiences will be on board as long as the movie is great, no matter how dark or fun it is.
I'm not talking about whether it's night or day, l'm talking about the tone of the film.
Yeah, because OHMSS isn't a masterpiece.
