Can tell you right now that it's too soon for the final trailer. If they do release it - it should be at the end of the month, with cinema release with Sony's The Walk.
Oh Marketto you never fail to make me smile! :D Whatever it is do you have a release time?
Christoph Waltz is in the September issue of Icon Magazine (Spain).
Umm, first of all, Craig defenders? Aside from Qos, there isn't really much about Craig needing defending (you're really not gonna like that one are you haha). Secondly, I compare Craig to all of the actors all of the time. Others do it all the time too. I hear Craig vs Dalton and Craig vs Connery all the time
Interesting. If the producers desperately want to keep him for another film, I don't think we should rule out a two year gap. It seems as if he feels he's getting too old to perform his own stunts and ultimately, play the role.
It's probably going to come down to how well SP is received (critically, because I think that's probably what he cares about). If it's not that well received, then he may have something to prove and want to do another.......or just leave thinking he's done what he can and can go out relatively on top. Possible studio changes may also have impacted his noncommittal comments.
I've always felt DC was a smart and astute fellow, and this confirms it.
no he is doing one more film after this at least
In fairness, this Dark Knight Trilogy-esque run has been really great, from the origins and emotional vulnerability of CR and QoS, to slowly transitioning to classic Bond with SF and SP - one interconnected story: I'm really liking this approach.
If SPECTRE wraps up the entire Blofeld/SPECTRE story, completely fini, I would honestly be surprised. Because from a purely business, box office standpoint surely this film plus one more to finish off Blofeld (whoever that turns out to be, whenever he is introduced) makes more sense.
I think Daniel Craig could definitely do one more Bond film, but then that would be the perfect time for him to step down. I hope he does one more after SPECTRE.
I don't count what he or anyone say now about that, because as we all know people's feelings may be strong but also change after a year.
It could wrap up the Blofeld/SPECTRE story in Craig's timeline. No harm for them to reintroduce a new SPECTRE with a new actor as Blofeld for the next Bond.
I would agree with you - one more film would also work swimmingly. But from what Craig is saying - this is more of a conclusion than a beginning.
I'm with you. It'd be a shame if they introduced Blofeld/Spectre figurehead, and then didn't have Daniel Craig see it through.
I'd like for Craig to be the Bond that finishes off Blofeld. That would be more satisfying for me. They could still carry SPECTRE onward for the next new Bond actor anyway.
I don't think I'd like to see a different actor play Blofeld with a new Bond. I'd at least want the same actor playing Blofeld till the character is really killed off.
Like I said, for the next Bond actor they will most certainly introduce a new Blofeld/SPECTRE, regardless of what happens in this film or the next Craig one. I don't think, in fact, they'll carry on with any cast/story arc elements from the Craig films for the next actor: it'll be a new Bond, new M, Q, Tanner, Moneypenny, Blofeld etc etc etc.....
There's a lot of effing and jeffing from DC in these interview snippets. Why does he have to come over all crass and cheap?
That may very well be true.
Maybe this is his humor I mean he did say after quantum he is trying to get out of being bond but it was a joke.
That all depends whether Craig will continue on for B25. If he doesn't, well bye bye Lea and Waltz too.
I can only say this to Daniel Craig: "Please, do one more film after "SPECTRE". This time a full celebration of the character James Bond 007. Bond going out on a plain, solid mission, without too much background history, and again slightly more frivolous and funny."
In any case, please do a 5th! We need you! And so does England!
Agreed. It doesn't necessarily need to continue. It could be left open ended. In this way, the Craig era sort of 'bleeds' into the Connery/Lazenby universe (of course timelines are different, but you hopefully get my point)....
Additionally, I can't see someone like Waltz or Seydoux doing a sequel. They've got other things to do with their career.
Funny you word it like that because if you read the interview, Craig does say that "For all the soul searching, he says, Spectre is “a celebration of all that’s Bond”".
And I'll be honest with you, in today's movie climate, a straight laced plain mission film with very little about the character itself won't really work well? I think SPECTRE will nail that balance well, deliver a classic Bond story with all the character sensibilities required of modern blockbusters.
If I compare it to other franchises we already should long have character posters, a second trailer (3rd if you count in the teaser), proper movie posters at the cinema.
But there is nothing at all.
Maybe EON thinks Spectre will be an easy sell anyway and doesn't need the expensive marketing treatment? Or are they just lazy or even incapable?
Is post-production making problems?
Some of you may have insights to this, please do tell ;)
