Baron Samedi's real name.

I've been a die hard Bond fan for 15 years now, and everytime I have a Bondathon I discover new things. Sometimes, the most obvious questions or details are missed when you are already so familiar with a movie, but now that I'm in the lookout for every single detail that I've missed, I've come across something so elemental that I can't believe I haven't asked myself before, or any of you guys (I've been away from this formus for about 4 years now. God, how time flies).

Watching LALD, I noticed Baron Samedi rises from a grave that reads, "In loving memory of James Brocket".

You guys think that's his real name?

If that's the case, he died in 1901. And is alive and well in 1973... Which leads me to another question:

What's your reading of this character?? Does he posses unnatural powers?? Or is it all just magic tricks??
