On another note about Skyfall to anyone in the know, will the film have a 'Production Diaries' series on the main site in the same vein as the ones for Casino Royale and Quantum Of Solace?
Yeah, I was wondering exactly the same thing, I really enjoyed the QoS One..
I think they most likely will- they've done it on the last 2..
Let's hope Vanilla get their act together soon and release a newly updated version.

*...and so on Yes exactly. There are far too many repeat discussions or related threads. 1,400 is not necessarily a good thing. It's hard to sort through so many and find what you may be looking for. I'd rather have fewer, but deeper quality discussions, than countless 3-5 post discussions.
Since the, very early, days in April-ish we haven't had any updates and I just wonder where we realistically stand with this? As @JBFan626 pointed out, a few of these issues can sometimes be borderline off putting, personally. We know what happened last time everyone cried for an update and then, well, we are where we are now.
