Craig might be fun to chat to, I know he likes football so we have something in common, and he seems down to earth and might be a cool guy to have a drink with. But he seems a bit unfriendly imo. To be fair though I'd probably be the same if I had as much media attention as him.
If you would ever meet him in a pub, got to talk to him, I am sure, you would have the time of your life, as he is funny as hell and a very normal guy, who loves to to hang out with his buddies.
I am the one who put the news of the grocery shop.
I would put myself as the hugest Daniel Craig fan over here, I became a huge Bond fan primarily after seeing Daniel Craig as Bond. He is a tremendous actor!
The only logical thing to say:
What difference does it make to us if he's a friendly man or not ?
he's not our friend,
What matter's is if he does his job well. That's what we should be discussing.
Now that being said, though I love Daniel as an actor and I enjoy watching his style on work as opposed to Roger's. But I have seen many instance's in which he's not as friendly as Roger,
There was this one video which I have seen in which he got angry with a reporter for not knowing he worked with Steven Speilberg before. But why do we care ? He acts very well.
The best person I have seen in this aspect as in the most friendliest man is Henry Cavil.
Watch this ^, The guy is just so friendly ! :D
I am the one who said that and I did show you detailed proof :)
One thing though I find it utterly ridiculous that In Casino Royale and Quantum Of Solace , He was in the beginning of his career and in Skyfall they made him old and out of touch with technology.
I read people discussing this further in other forums, the conclusion reached was like in one of the Connery movies in which he hadlost his mojo, He was back to form in the sequel. Bond will most certainly get it back in Bond24.
At least that's what I am hoping for. Same as you, I am going to extremely disappointed for them to continue with grandpa like Craig.
Hardly unfriendly given the context of the first question.
Reg Cavill - it all depends on if and how you embrace fame. Its easy to be friendly, if you do, but if you cannot, its more difficult to ACT friendly all the time.
Reg "grandpaish" Bond - I make every bet, he will absolutely not look older. He looked real good throughout most of the promo and shows he did for SF and all it needs is a bit of meat on his bones and in the face. Its the haggard look, that makes him older plus no hair. Compare above vid from the start of the Bond shoot to this one underneath from the promo.
Ha ! You found it :D
But like I said earlier, I shouldn't matter to us.
Yep , I mentioned all that in my earlier post. The one in which I attached pictures too.
For Skyfall that's the look they tried to obtain!
My opinion is : The Man is James Bond , its not soothing to see our favourite super spy in an extremely bad form, I just hope they give him back the Quantum Of Solace or Casino Royale look , or even his new style isn't too bad. But for heaven's sake don't bring back that lousy Skyfall look.
As for the second vid, my goodness that interviewer is sort of embarrassingly bad. There are much worse, but still.
Exactly.
Yup to all of this. We don't KNOW, if Roger would be as cheerful today. Maybe, maybe not. But he surely is more easy going then DC in handling the media. But I remember having read about him being snappy, too, at times. Couldn't bring on a source or link though.
I just picked a vid, but clearly this is one hell of a bad interviewer.
I know you did... And indeed she is. :P I almost added "poor woman" before, but then realized she probably gets paid for doing that job, however badly, so no sympathy from me. ;)
Probably within the next 2 months
Here's hoping! Then atleast we can all then look ahead to an official date and go from there?
In this video he doesn't come across as unfriendly or angry. He is completely justified in his comments. It annoys me too when I hear so called "journalists" ask such dull and stupid questions. These people get paid to hang out at premieres and interview film stars and they can't get their facts right!...You would think the reporter who asked the stupid question would realise that they are reporting on a new Spielberg film that stars Daniel Craig. You would think (if they are indeed entertainment reporters) that they already knew that Spielberg directed Craig in "MUNICH". If not, they could have checked out IMDB to see if Spielberg and Craig had worked together before and maybe asked how did working with Spilberg this time compare to the last time when you worked together on MUNICH or any chances that Spielberg might direct you in a future Bond film?
But also November 2015 is to late, it should be November/December 2014 or January 2015 for Bond 24 and Bond 25 in 2017.
Don't worry, he likely hasn't seen anything of Dan's other work outside of Bond. Just use IFM on him.

It's not that he's totally stupid. It's just that he's always making sure that everyone that would listen to the interview would have the basic data. He's not making an interview for experts, his shows are not the place for that.
And because he is doing at as some sort of personal note, its ok to be unprepared when doing your job? Rather not.
Exactly. When you get paid for interviews you should research your subject and their career effectively, coming prepared with compelling questions and not obviously ignorant comments or questions that show your lack of research. I again understand why Dan got annoyed, and I would have too.
I Met Daniel Craig Today
Sometimes life is about blind luck. Today started out simple enough with my wife and I arriving in New York City to do a few errands and enjoy the crisp weather. As happens, we found ourselves walking to build up hunger for our lunch, which was still a few hours away.
As we walked, we realized we were by the Tom Ford store and as we hadn’t been there since August, we figured we would stop in. Actually, I have to give credit where credit is due…my wife pushed me to try on the SkyFall Glen Plaid so in we went.
We were warmly greeted by our good friend Mario Lopez with a hug as I began to start wandering around. We were talking about the collection when Mario leaned into me and whispered, “He’s here….”
For a Good ten seconds I thought he meant Tom Ford himself, but he quickly corrected me…
“No, David…Daniel Craig is here.”
Now I have to tell you his words did not process right away and I remember saying something stupid but Mario offered me an Espresso and my wife some water and we walked into the woman’s collection.
And there he was picking out clothes for his wife after building a small pile of clothes for himself. We were the only ones in the store and I tried to play it cool by following my wife around the collection. She was the picture of cool and collected while I tried my very best not to bust my eyeball by looking out of the corner of my eye.
He was dressed in a jeans jacket, Levi’s jeans and Skye Crockett and Jones. He was taller than I expected and let me tell you I will never compare my build to him again….the guy looked jacked.
Ultimately we exchanged some nods in the men’s sections, the type of nods of acknowledgement of etiquette.
Now, this is the point where I didn’t want to look like a stalker or creep or whatever but as Mario couldn’t introduce me I was convinced by others that I should at least introduce myself. So, mustering up every bit of courage and destroying all shame I approached him as he was leaving. He walked right toward me (probably because I was blocking his way) and said, “Mr Craig, I am a big fan and respect your work. Would you mind if my wife took a picture of us together?” He looked at me and smiled and said, “Aw, you know…I would rather not”. I replied back quickly, “I absolutely respect that…but just so you know thanks for the work you have done.” He thrust out his hand and shook mine stating, “Thanks, THAT I really appreciate…take care.”
And that was that. He was gracious and kind and I felt a pang of guilt interrupting his privacy but I knew this would never ever happen again, and as he has been such a focus of my hobby I had to at least greet him.
I was a little gutted not getting a pic but knowing how he feels about pictures it was just as well…and regardless I have my brush with Daniel Craig. Very surreal.
One last thing…this was all plain dumb luck. I had no heads up or call or notice…kismet.

In retrospect, I now wonder how I came across when I met David Arnold in the west end and shoved my camera into his son's had for him to take a pic of us.
I agree vehemently. It just shows fanboyism if people support Craig on this front.
I love Craig as much as the next guy(if not more),but I like to look at everything rationally and don't let my love for the character or franchise cloud my judgement.
I remember a similar encounter a prominent member on CBn had where he met Pierce Brosnan. He asked Pierce permission to take a photo, Pierce said 'yes'. He took a photo it didn't come out right and he asked 'Pierce' for a second photo , Pierce agreed again.
