The selection of Eilish is a calculated business decision that is motivated more by the desire for commercial success than it is any other quality.
Can't imagine Bono at the poker table in CR ...
Can't imagine Chris Cornell at the poker table from CR, screaming 'OUTSHINED! OUTSHINED! OUTSHINED!'
Amazing news if true, thanks a lot mate! The timing only makes sense. WotW was released 31 days before the première of Spectre. February 18th is 44 days before NTTD's.
I was just kidding, nothing against her of course ;)
FYI you have an habit of guessing and speculating every single contender either it's director/singer/composer or any other cast or crew doesn't mean you are always right. When you start guessing every single one of them surely one would be selected and you are ready to take credit for it. There are others on this site @peter @ColonelSun @antovolk who doesn't brag about what news they provide every now and then. They are mature enough to understand there isn't any point in that. We all are fans here and i do enjoy your posts sometime.
Universal Pictures, who are releasing NTTD overseas, is doing a similar promotion for their new Fast & The Furious trailer.

With respect for your opinion (which is perfectly valid, of course), but I have to disagree here. Sure, Billie Eilish doesn't look very glamorous, as the Bond Girls of yesteryear. Nor does her sound evoke Shirley Bassey. And I understand that for some Bond fans, this might be a shock. Eilish doesn't ooze 'class' or 'sex' or even 'cocktail dress'.
But to me, that is (largely) irrelevant. k.d. Lang wasn't your typical Bond singer either. To the MGM marketing team, she was so far removed from the brand they wanted and got another singer. But while Sheryl Crow fits that Bond brand more, I find her title song for TND inferior to Surrender. When you watch the video clip for You Know My Name, does Chris Cornell ooze 'Bond'? No, not at all. But YKMN works within the context of Casino Royale.
Sure, there have been some misses. I wouldn't associate Jack White with the Bond style, and the song he and Alicia Keys sang doesn't really scream Bond to me. Or even 'a good song'. And sure, having a singer that is more glamorous seems a safe bet. Shirley Bassey, Tina Turner, Adele, even Joss Stone's song for Blood Stone is more in line with the brand than Billie Eilish.
But I like the risk they're taking. NTTD is hip and young and fresh. Cary Fukunaga isn't your typical Bond director. Billie Eilish isn't your typical Bond singer. Lashana Lynch isn't your typical Bond Girl.
But Daniel Craig wasn't your typical Bond either when Casino Royale came out. That film wasn't your typical Bond film. And it seems they're going back to that - to the beginnings of this Bond. And I love it.
Yes, but blaming Lucifer for suicide rates when the world is literally going on fire due to climate changes is kinda stupid.

I think there is a degree of objectiveness in art hence why courses and classes exist but I don't think that applies to music.
Were they a much bigger deal in the UK or something?
If people agree I'd like to open a new thread so we can discuss this because I think it's interesting to understand whether Bond fans knew groups/artists before they did a Bond song. I honestly didn't know most of Bond song performers before I became a Bond fan.
:)) I know, I turn 46 this year and I have to say I have no idea what to expect? I am tired of ballads and was hoping for something along the lines of CR, LALD, AVTAK...…..etc? But seeing as their is a powerful love story through this film? I cannot see that being the case?
That was pretty funny! ;))
I’m pretty sure he was referring to Australia...
Honest question, why would Lucifer be more plausible than climate changes?
That's the only way you seem to talk - clearly you are too stupid to use logic. Then again I'm arguing with someone who believes in Lucifer.
I also love how you purposefully ignored every single argument of mine and always changed subject or used logical fallacies to win your arguments. That also proves how wrong and stupid you are.
:))
Always and more frequent are two different things, and there’s solid evidence that extreme climate conditions/events are increasing.
Global Warming and Climate Change have two different definitions so they’re not interchangeable:
Global warming: the increase in Earth’s average surface temperature due to rising levels of greenhouse gases.
Climate change: a long-term change in the Earth’s climate, or of a region on Earth.
This thread has gotten so much more entertaining. Keep going
@ringfire211, I already asked you to refrain from further discussions of this nature. Please discuss Billie Eilish without the superstitious bogus, or stay away from this thread. Thank you.
