So everyone is okay with Batman killing all of a sudden? I pointed out a few accidental kills of his throughout TDK trilogy, and yet everyone gave me hell for it, saying "No, Batman doesn't kill!"

Also, just had my first viewing of Climax's 'Casino Royale' episode from the 1950's, it was very enjoyable, really surprised me.

I'm not ok with it. While I accept that Snyder made the decision to depict Batman as an older version who is somewhat disillusioned who doesn't care anymore if people get killed, I personally would have preferred to continue what was shown in former Batman movies.

Sure, Batsy did kill in the early comics and on a few occasions later on, but overall he has always followed his two rules (no guns, no killings) and for me, the character has worked best that way and for decades.

@MajorDSmythe, knowing you, I take it you liked Purefoy's evilness in the first 'Resident Evil' movie? I feel like that's one of the only movies I've ever seen him in.

You grow to like him, then he goes and shows his true intention. I have seen a few of his films, and I can't say that I have seen a bad performance from him. I even liked Ironclad, which, if you're up for a bloody medieval action film, is worth a watch.

I want to say that I've seen 'Ironclad,' but I think I'm recalling that awful Jason Statham medieval movie. I'll have to check it out. I enjoyed him on the short-lived TV show called 'The Following,' he played a great villain as always.

At least he gets what's coming to him in 'Resident Evil.' The man who started it all.

I wasn't bother with Batman killing, but as another reviewer pointed out, at least they could have shown us why he had changed from his "no killing" ways. Was it because of the death of Robin? Did something else happen over those years that change his POV? Something like that.

Hate to say this but the better film I saw this weekend was...

    Zootopia
A wonderful film. Very smart and funny. Touches upon social issues that we face. The voice cast was excellent. Jason Bateman as the fox and Ginnifer Goodwin as the rabbit were a great team. The animation and action was excellent. A definite recommend for adults and kids.

This afternoon I went to see 'Batman v Superman' for the 2nd time.

Tonight, I did a 2nd trip to the cinema for Deadpool. 1 hour and 40 minutes of pure entertainment. I really enjoyed it. Killer soundtrack, badass action scenes, and tons of humour.

    IRON MAN THREE

This one and the two Captain America movies are my favourites of the whole Avengers bunch.

    THE REVENANT

Easter rerun at the cinema. This was brilliant, much better than I thought. Very disturbing scenes here and there, but a pure work of art! Bravo to all involved.

@Thunderfinger, I don't know if it stands out to you as much as it does to me in general, but the cinematography alone in 'The Revenant' made it a must-see in theaters for me. Beautiful stuff, really worked in making you feel just how cold it was in the movie.

Roger Deakins is a freakins genius.

He is, though Emmanuel Lubezki was the DP, not Deakins. Deakins' work on last year's 'Sicario,' however, was just as good looking.

Hm, not sure where I got that from then. Thanks for that. Emanuel Lubezki is theman, then.

Conan The Barbarian 2011- damn this was good. SO brutal & close to the source material. Polerdouris music would have made it a classic.... still it was great IMHO.

Eye in the Sky, starring Helen Mirren, Aaron Paul, and Alan Rickman. A brilliant film about a Colonel and a lieutenant ordering a missile strike on a group of Kenyan terrorists. Upon watching, you have the real sense of real people, doing real jobs, desperately clinging on to their ability to disregard their own morals and remain unsentimental towards many complications that arise during the operation. There's a line of dialogue said by Rickman that makes a perfect conclusion to his career. Highly recommended.

Just made another trip to the cinema for London Has Fallen.

Wall-to-wall action for 90 minutes, I wonder how much badguys Butler killed, it seemed like a one man genocide. I think I liked this one better than the original 'Olympus has Fallen'. I hope they made a 3rd one in a major Asian city.

During my Easter vacations, I watched the complete Tolkien movies by Peter Jackson. In fact, I just finished Return of the King. It will be some time before I do that again, but i most definitely will do it again.

I also watched "Les Aventures d'Arsqène Lupin" on TV. Although my Lupin will always be Georges Descrières, Robert Lamoureux was very good in that movie (and its follow-up, "Signé Arsène Lupin"). And Liselotte Pulver was a cutie.

Sunday The Dark Knight Rises was on and I watched a bit of it... where do I begin....

I am a Huge Batman Fan (heck I read the comics and enjoy the idea of Jim as batman and I am probably the only fan in the world who does) but TDKR is just ok... it's better then Batman and Robin but I feel Nolan's heart wasn't in it or Goyer wasn't as involved as the previous 2 because while elements of the film are great (Hardy as Bane was fantastic) there are so many plot holes that you can drive a tank through (Kevin smith's video on this film's plot holes with someone else I forgot who is just so funny specifically when they talk about how Robin Blake is the smartest rookie on the planet)

I plan some day doing a Batman Cohesive over view of the films (though unsure what I want to include and what I don't the Serials? the Adam west movie? the Animated Films?)
but if I had to guess my ranking would be

    1. Batman Begins
    2. The Dark Knight
    3. Batman
    4. Batman Returns
    5. The Dark Knight Rises
    6. Batman Forever
    7. Batman And Robin

with BVS likely going between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight but I will know for sure Friday.

I'd rank the BATMAN THE MOVIE (1966) above most of those. I mostly enjoyed the Nolan Trilogy (particularly the first one), but I rarely felt as though I was watching Batman. It was some guy in armor that seemed to be perpetually feeling sorry for himself. There has yet to be an on screen Batman that completely gets it right. My favorites are Keaton and West, but this kid on GOTHAM sure plays it well. Rather than coming off as self-indulgent, this Bruce Wayne has a nobility about him. He has shown great compassion, confidence and some detective skills. He has the potential to be the greatest if they ever let him get to be Batman.

Batman the movie was always meant to be a parody of the character much like Casino Royale 67....

As for me the last film I saw was Batman V Superman and while I need to watch it a few more times to truly determine if it my favorite batman film of all time I kind of want to rank the series so far (Michael Uslan produced series that is)

    1. Batman V Superman
    2. Batman Begins
    3. The Dark Knight
    4. Batman
    5. Batman Returns
    6. The Dark Knight Rises
    7. Batman Forever
    8. Batman And Robin

    it's just that good!

@Gerard, I bet that was enjoyable. I still want to accomplish an extended trilogy marathon, all in one day. It's doable, but lengthy as hell.
Which is why I needed the time allowed by vacations to do it. After all, I watched all of the six movies. It's better, IMHO, if you take them by half. That way, you get a 12 episodes TV series.

That's probably a nice, broken up way of doing it, but as lengthy as they are, I don't think I could turn one of them off halfway through and pick it up later. I get way too into them to stop.

    @Risico007

My list looks like this (including ignoring the Supes/Luthor stuff in BvS)

    1. Batman Begins
    2. Batman 1989
    3. Batman v (ignored)
    4. Batman Forever
    5. Batman Returns
    6. The Dark Knight Rises
    7. The Dark Knight
    8. Batman And Robin
    9. Batman v Superman (as a whole)

Did yet another trip to the cinema, this time for 10 Cloverfield Lane.

Very, very good movie. Palpable tension for the entire 90 or so minutes, powerhouse performances from the actors, especially John Goodman. The last 15 minutes were truly horrifying, I could have heard a pin drop in the packed audience.
