It is a tad slow and not a "action" film.
Very enjoyable thriller. Cary Grant is so great in this, I must check out more of his films which shamefully I haven't seen. Also excellent is James Mason and Eva Marie-Saint. Saint has such a sexy, hypnotic voice.
Great score from Herrmann with a clever title sequence.
I think my favourite bit is the auction scene. Really tense and funny. Obviously the Crop Duster chase is another highlight and brilliantly shot.
I think Notorious (1946) is next on my list!
I have to disagree. If a camera is too shaky during an action sequence, to the point where you can't tell what's going on, you've ruined the "action" in your action movie. Jason Bourne had the worst of them all. The finale fight at the end was so dark and shaky that I literally had no idea what was going on until we saw Jason had won.
Thanks, @bondjames
To Catch A Thief is also on my to see list in the near future.
I find that hard to believe regarding the fight. I thought it was very well choreographed and it was easy to see what was going on.
Not as good as the Tangier fight in Bourne Ultimatum but still excellent.
Batman vs Superman - the Ultimate edition, I enjoyed it better than in the cinema in this 3 hour long version which gives a fairly decent movie. With Affleck we do get a new and darker Knight than the previous installments. It seems that every period of time get their own Batman and this one is actually quite well fitted for our times, a hero disappointing by mankind and even the Super-powered kind. Batman has to handle Superman who gets a very different response by humanity in these skeptical times, and he has to handle Superman's arch enemy Lex Luthor who is a mad a his own nemesis the Joker. Batfleck is actually the best Batman since Michael Keaton in my humble opinion. Even with 3 hours the movie keeps up the pace and with the introduction of Wonderwoman we get some serious injection of live, lets face it both Super & Bat are kind of humorless characters and Wonderwoman brings out the best in them.
as I end the mission impossible franchise I realize this film is much stronger then I first thought... It is honesty the best of the 5 and I am really curious where the 6 film will go. The villain is dark creepy Faust is hot and entertaining the team works well I am honestly struggling to find a downside... except it does show the bond producers what they should of done with Spectre .... oh well
Well in two weeks I decided to start the Beverly hills cop franchise (then likely the bourne films)

Pretty good noir film with good performances from Richard Conte and Lee J.Cobb
Other than a little street racing, this is is distinctly different, as if the series is undergoing a change.
1. Fast & Furious (2009)
2. 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)
3. The Fast And The Furious (2001)
Fast & Furious is in my bottom two of the franchise. It just came off dull and a bit forced.
For me it's...
The Fast & The Furious
Fast Five
2 Fast 2 Furious
The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift
Fast & Furious 6
Fast & Furious
Furious 7
5 and 6 of the Fast series go off on one, then 7 happens ;)
First watch since its theatre run. Enjoyed it then and enjoyed it now. Not as good as the first one but it has some interesting elements. I liked Cobie Smulder's character (she gets to kick butt) & Danika Yarosh was serviceable as a troubled teen. The relationship between Reacher and these two is interesting to watch. The henchman (Patrick Heusinger, known only as The Hunter) has some presence and is suitably effective. The weak spot is the main villain, played by Robert Knepper. He has maybe two minutes in the film tops and his big plan isn't well laid out. The whole thing doesn't hold together all that well, and it could be because it's directed by Edward Zwick rather than Christopher McQuarrie who did the first one - not sure. It feels distinctly 'direct to video'ish with poor use of the locations. Still, it's worth a watch because....well because 'Cruise'.
I have no interest in the street racing or drift aspect of the films, so that'll give you some idea of how my ranking might look.
Basically fast 5 - 7 are the best and 4 is good.
Maybe check out Notorious if you haven't.
When CGI became so prevalent certain films released in that time period suffered badly. I sat in a cinema alone watching Crystal Skull I had just finished work so popped in, was surreal the nuclear blast Indy shot looked iconic.
Of Indy putting his hat on .... and I was a kid again ! So excited. Then came the movie and
I was so disappointed. I hope for the next outing, they go back to doing most of the stunts
In camera.
I had the same feeling it started flat then almost picked up, then even being a die hard fan I could not defend it. Bizzarely I watched Alien3 in same cinema on a noon showing, that time there was me and one person watching :\
Another solid entry to the Harry Potter Universe.
