Clearly not for me. I enjoyed playing the Arham games on PC. I guess I shall have to continue enjoying those for a while. ;-)

I think it's obvious that this is a desperate cashgrab by Rocksteady in an attempt to close the fans' wounds left by Suicide Squad Kills the Justice League.

Rocksteady isnt behind this however this could be seen as a money grab attempt from WB ….

Though a vr game on an expensive system

Bold strategy lets see if it pays off

I would say “in before all the ‘woke garbage’ complaints,” but I’m sure they already beat me. Anyways, I think it looks cool, especially Clayface, who I also want for the live-action The Batman Part II. I like the idea of making him more realistic like the old comics, but I also admittedly will miss the shapeshifting aspect.

Always nice to meet fellow Batman TAS fans! Yes, they will need to be careful with Harley in more ways than one. Namely, with Bruce Timm involved, he might force an awkward romance with some of the characters. Then he’ll criticize other’s work while praising himself. He’s kind of Bob Kane the 2nd and our own Richard Maibaum in that regard. I’m looking forward to Clayface and I hope he’s in The Batman Part 2.

TAS is the best Batman product out there. Kevin Conroy's passing left me broken. To know that he won't be here for this series is seriously painful.

I have to agree, and I love so so many Batman things. He and Hamill will always have the definitive Batman and Joker voices. I probably mentioned it here not super long ago, but I have a full TAS marathon planned for next month that I'm hyped about. I recently got the whole Blu-Ray set for maximum quality. I'll have to include Mask of the Phantasm and SubZero, too!

Both films ought to be in your Bluray set. They're in mine, at least. I do a TAS marathon pretty much every year. Preferably during Summer for some reason. I also read all the companion comics while listening to the complete Shirley Walker OSTs. This is the closest thing to a religion I have.

Yep! Why skip them when they're so great and right there? I did separately buy Mask on 4K, though, and will do the same for the rest of TAS if it makes the leap someday haha. Shirley Walker's music is incredible. There's a lot I love about TAS, but the aspect I come back to most is just that I feel like nearly every classic villain was represented and got a definitive portrayal. Unsung baddies among my personal favorites include Mad Hatter, The Ventriloquist & Scarface, and The Terrible Trio (yes, really, I love that episode).

I also love how TAS combines the modern with an Al Capone sort of time to create the perfect retrofuturist world. The design of Gotham and its citizens has never been this good.

Getting back into the Arkham Shadow topic, do we really need a new Arkham installment? Arkham Knight is considered by many as the final chapter of the saga, not to mention, the last time an Arkham game was released in VR (Arkham VR) it flopped.

Caped Crusader looks interesting, by the way, i could give it a shot...
If i could pay Max in the first place.

Can't wait for this new Batman adventure on the Quest 3. VR is much more of an experience than being just a flat screen game.

VR doesn't appeal to me. It belongs in a theme park. I doubt we will return to the grandeur of the first few Arkham games any time soon.

I'm curious. How come it doesn't appeal to you? To me, VR is such an amazing experience, especially when home units only cost about $500. Being surrounded by the Bat Cave or Gotham City with all it's sights and sounds would seem much more captivating than sitting in a room looking at a screen.

Fair question. I've merely had two small chances to test VR and both times I didn't like it enough to be wowed. Perhaps in a few years.

Some thoughts of my own while I was away.

Yes, Batman TAS is one of the greatest cartoons ever. It will always be one TV show that I have to have a physical copy of. When I read Batman comics, usually the voices from TAS are the voices that I hear. It somewhat surprises me that WB didn't really attempt to use more of the creative team when developing Batman after B & R. Same with Superman.

As for Batman: Caped Crusader @TheSkyfallen06 it is on Amazon Prime. I am getting used to the character designs and takes. I'm also grateful that they are not using (as far as we know) Joker or Penguin at the beginning. As I've said before, they have been overused in general media, akin to Lex Luthor and General Zod with Superman. Apparently a second season is planned, I do trust the creative team behind the show. I don't want to stereotype the main 3 big names working on it (Timm, Reeves, and Abrams), I think most people know what I'm talking about. We are lucky it's also for a more mature audience, not that TAS wasn't for older kids and even adults!

As for Batman Shadow, it is what it is. I really don't have an opinion. I just play games as much as I can, some more than others. Batman: Arkham Asylum is one of my comfort ones.

Kevin Conroy was not just a great Batman, but a great person in general. Always approachable for fans, doing generous things. I remember posting on the RIP thread, that over 2 pages worth of tributes came in just for him. I think that might be a record for that thread. He is missed in more ways than one.

For The Batman Part 2, I hope that Clayface and Hush are in it, as it's time for some new villains. It's also time for Dick Grayson as Robin to get some cinematic redemption. And some actual time in the costume!

Lastly this weekend, I got to meet John Jackson Miller at a comic book convention. While he talked mostly about Star Wars and Star Trek, he did talk just briefly about his upcoming novel Batman: Resurrection. He said he saw Batman '89 in the theater 12 times, with a 13th on the way! Somehow, Bob the Goon survived. To paraphrase and combine two of his writings. Set between Batman and Batman Returns, with some familiar characters making appearances.

Just like with James Bond, we are lucky to generally have the right people taking care of Batman.

All I meant was that there are some people that VR just does not click with. This might be your situation. I can't know for sure because I don't know what experiences/games you have played in VR. For example, If you played some of Vader Immortal or Resident Evil 4 or watched some 4k movies or trailers on YouTube on the Quest 2 or 3 and didn't feel it moved you then VR just isn't for you.
