I trust them.
I was thinking of THE CONVERSATION purely from a pacing point-of-view, I guess. Maybe it isn't the best reference film I could have chosen. ;-) I merely went there because we get tons of slow, silent moments with The Batman / Bruce Wayne trapped in thought and introspective soul-searching. Like Hackman's character, he's doing something in the world but starts to wonder if he's not actually aiding / inspiring the "wrong kind" at the same time. I could be reading too much into the film. ;-)
All that’s missing is Bruce smashing up his bat cave for bug equipment.
Now THAT would have been an awesome scene!
Bats eat bugs, so there should be little chance of bugs in the cave...
I really liked how the sound of him walking matched with the percussive beats of the music at times.
"Here he comes...."
They'll revisit that in the live-theater Musical. Personally, I see a lot of Michael Jackson-esque choreography. If The Who allow it, "Who Are You ?" would be a number, and, you know the big, bold, brief answer right before the curtain falls - "I'm Batman !"
Is that the norm for your area or is that part of AMC and others increasing ticket prices for this film? If that's a new implementation at theaters, my incredibly rare theatrical visits will happen even less often.
Sorry, just had to Battinson it up for you. ;)
I see a semi-comic number for Alfred reflecting on the wide variety of villains, with a line included about "Some of them just want to watch the word burn," while Joker dances by, followed by the line, "While others want to make it freeze" while Mr. Freeze breezes by
You know, I started cracking wise on this and now I'm convincing myself it could be great !
"When it comes to villains," sings Alfred, "there's so much to learn, and none of it with ease. Some just want to watch the world burn, while others want to make it freeze."
Hey...this is coming together !
For what??? Just the tickets? 2 tickets cost me a tenner.
Yep! Fantastic stuff.
This track is absolutely amazing.
This is Goldsmith level.
October 25th is the release date for Gotham knights cant wait. One of 4 video games I am super excited
Me too.
It was nice to skip the origin story this time and see an already established Batman but still new enough to have tension with the police. I loved the action, atmosphere and the score. The Fincher comparisons are apt.
I think my biggest complaint was once they revealed the Riddler to be John Denver, I couldn't take him seriously anymore. The ending dragged on and on. The film is just too long. Also, if Catwoman never returns then it feels like a wasted opportunity. They are obviously trying to set things up with the Penguin and you know who at the end. Just a lot to cram into one film. Also, Alfred not dying kind of felt like cheating.
Overall though, a good experience. Definitely on the right track compared to some of the other DC films as of late.
And rather large portions of John Williams' "Imperial March". And some Barryesque moments, of course.
Where's your movie theater, the moon?
But all this JUSTICE LEAGE, Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE, SUICIDE SQUAD and now apparently a SUICIDE SQUAD reboot, that's rather weird.
Totally fair enough if it worked for other folks, I just felt a bit weary.
